Quoting: pbI did play Alien Breed 3D and II, but tbh I liked Breathless the most. ;-) It had the best (cleanest) graphics, which of course came at the cost of system requirements, luckily I had a 68040 expansion.Breathless really was impressive looking. lucky sod :grin: I only had a stock 1200. so it struggled quite a bit.

Quoting: ImFromMostonQuoting: pbI remember reading about it in a magazine and wondering why would anyone make a fps game exclusively for Macintosh. Oh well, I had an Amiga back then and I was busy playing Gloom and Breathless, lol. And some Citadel [External Link], too!I loved gloom. did you play alien breed 3d that needs a rerelease. the level design was excellent. could do with a resolution boost though :grin:

I realize you're able to bring the keyboard up in that fashion, but as soon as I attempt to type the keyboard interface locks up and the pad becomes unresponsive.
I've given up on the pad now anyway. but thanks for the comment.

Oh right.. so it works flawless for everybody. So when you minimize steam big picture and decide to use a browser etc it does not lock up. That must be nice because for me using the controller on the desktop is broken. regardless of whether steam is in big picture mode or desktop. Oh I can use it as a mouse but thats not much use if you can't input text with it.

Have they decided to fully support their own controller yet.. or is it still the half assed implication its been, pretty much since launch.

I have a steam controller but I would not recommend it to anybody. I have given up on it as the support is lacking, in fact its a joke. I wanted to use the controller on the desktop for web browsing etc but as soon as I bring up the keyboard interface and type the first letter it freezes and its been like this since launch.
This is what irks me about valve. they seems to throw a half finished product out there then move on to the next thing such as supporting ps4 pads... VALVE, AT LEAST GET YOUR OWN F***ING PAD FULLY FUNCTIONAL BEFORE STARTING WORK ON SUPPORTING SOMEONE ELSE'S CONTROLLER. :><:

I see the Steam Controller support is still broken for use on the desktop... Valve really are a bunch of unfocused clowns. at least get your own controller working flawlessly before supporting other manufacturers controllers.
At this point I feel the Steam Controller is a waste of time and Valve appear to approach everything half assed, starting jobs before moving on and leaving jobs half finished. they just seem so amateurish.

Steam store updated, Valve still haven't fixed filtering to only Linux games on the homepage

Valve drive me mad, they're so frustrating. what with this filtering of games issue to what bugs me the most at the moment;
They decide to support ps4 pads, which is cool. but come on valve at least complete the support of your OWN pad first so I can use it on the desktop.
At this point Ive been waiting since pretty much launch for full functionality of this pad if I thought it would have taken this long to get here i would not have bothered with it. its not even as functional as running it under windoze, which is a joke, considering its meant to be the default input device for Steamos
Just wish there was more consideration for their customers running Steamos/Linux.
