And yet, most Windows users I have talked to recently fail to see any issues with ads showing up in their application launcher, or in their notifications. Or stuff randomly breaking. Or...
At this point I have given up on trying to convince people to switch. They obviously enjoy sitting on a cactus.

I enjoyed this game a lot on the switch, and therefore I expect it to be quite enjoyable on the Steam Deck too.
And I have to agree that the protagonist is insufferable, quite similar to Rufus from the Deponia series. However, unlike Deponia, this game has a much more serious tone. Playing a selfish <beep> kinda works in a relatively lighthearted game like Deponia. In the Dark Eye setting it is depressing. Knowing that you have to hurt people in order to progress the story...
Still, the game is pretty good, and I do recommend it - if one can accept playing a story in which the main character isn't likeable.

The Witcher IV revealed with Ciri as the protagonist

Also, I am pretty sure we see her using Witcher Signs and drawing power from the water in the trailer. Even if we do not count Witcher Signs as magic-use, drawing power from the water is quite obviously in conflict with her having forsworn magic.
I must say, the people who made the trailer are geniuses - stirring speculation and piquing interest this way.

Quoting: StellaAll signs point to her having undergone the mutations
Quoting: ShmerlCiri went through trial of the grassesI wonder how that is going to be explained character-development-wise. In the books Geralt was always pretty convinced that Ciri would not have to undergo mutations in order to become a Witcher due to her heritage (though I haven't finished the last book yet - might be that there were developments I am not aware of).

I'm hyped. More than hyped.
I wonder how the continuity of the setting is handled this time. That the Worms seem to play an important role, the way the aftermath of WW2 is described, and that a screenshot of the prototype shows a destroyed church of the Church of the Unconquered Sun makes me wonder if this game might be going to be set in the Third History.

Regarding Pathfinder: Kingmaker
The native Linux version has a blocker bug in the kingdom management menu when playing with gamepad UI enabled. If you are playing on the Steam Deck (or, in general, if you want to use the gamepad-optimized UI), it might be a good idea to rather use the Windows build with Proton...
(I have played through the whole game on my desktop in the native Linux build twice. The regular keyboard&mouse UI is working fine. Just the gamepad UI is broken.)

I will definitely buy one if it is real. If it isn't real, I'll buy one in my dreams.
I am planning to get it as a replacement for my Xbox Series X/S gamepad that I am not happy with. (I won't go into details why I am not happy with it, otherwise this will turn into a long rant.)

Sony say their PSN account requirement on PC is so you can enjoy their games 'safely'

I guess a lot has been lost in translation...
What Sony usually means when they talk about "safe" in a PSN context, is the option to blocklist or report people, to always know whom you are playing with, to make sure that kids can't access content they shouldn't, and a lot of other player-friendly features.
Sony have all that stuff set up for their consoles, so I'm not surprised that they are going the path of least resistance and try to use the same systems on PC too. Especially for games that already support all that via the PSN APIs on consoles it makes sense to use the same APIs on PC - but their online-features all assume that the player has a PSN account...
So, while I am not happy about it, I can see where they are coming from.
(For offline games it really doesn't make much sense though... As long as the games don't access any PSN APIs it doesn't make a difference...)

Quoting: Liam DaweI'm not a lawyer - no clue what attack vectors would exist if Atari had a reason to. However, I don't think it would be in their interest to target the project. But maybe some weird legal necessity?Quoting: soulsourceI hope this isn't bad news for the OpenTTD project. Why would it be? It's an original open source project.

Quoting: emphyLast time that I attempted to find the original ttd I was very surprised to not encountering it in any digital store. I can't be the only one for who it would have been a near-insta-buy.Can OpenTTD still use the original game files?
Openttd may include its own graphics and music, but my nostalgia brain prefers to use the original data.
On a side note: the remastered music in the mobile version is excellent (the mobile game itself is meh). A bit of a pain to extract it and play it during play (openttd still doesn't support ogg, flac, or even wav music playback), but well worth it imo.
