GOG are revamping GOG Galaxy, to help you manage multiple launchers and still no Linux support

Sign up for the BETA!
If they don't listen on twitter or forums, maybe we can get them numbers if we come together and sign up.
Then when the BETA is ready and if they still don't support Linux, they will get a lot of numbers from all of us who can't participate.

Hollow Knight: Lifeblood Update announced, will add a new boss and map markers

I also get no tearing with V-sync off. V-sync on always get some input lag, no matter which game. That's the problem G-sync and Freesync will solve.

But the defaults in this game should be V-sync off for the best experience. Maybe it's a bug in the Linux version that the developers haven't noticed.

Has anyone else experienced this issue that are not using Nvidia with the proprietary drivers?

The latest Steam Client update is quite a big one pulling in lots from previous beta versions

Added a 2X-scaling mode with high-res text and graphics when running the Steam client in desktop mode on 4k-resolution monitors. You can also force 2X scaling with the "GDK_SCALE=2" environment variable, or disable it with "GDK_SCALE=1".
How do i set the environment variable? Tried some googling and couldn't find any good answer?
I'm running Steam in my living room on a 60" 1080p TV, running KDE Neon.
Well, it's not ideal, but the way I'm currently doing it is this:

Open terminal, and type:

export GDK_SCALE=1
steam

Of course, you could put that in a bash script and use a menu or desktop shortcut instead. Noting that the steam binary is in /usr/games and has been added to the PATH.
Tried this and when Steam launches, it's the same scaling as before.
Tried also the setting in preferences, no change.

Is it because I'm running on a 1080p display?

Quoting: GuestDid you people notice there is a slight but annoying input lag in this game ? I tend to fall a lot when hitting the jump button while walking toward the edge of a platform -- which I don't notice in other games, for instance, Iconoclasts (another nice metroidvania) when the jump seems to occur exactly when I push the button.

I wonder if there's an additional input lag in Hollow Knight itself or if it's due to something in the Linux gfx stack.

(I tried with an NVIDIA, and Intel HD Graphics, with & without compositing ; X and not wayland ; and I don't use triple buffering).
I have noticed that Bidinou. Turning V-Sync off in the settings menu (in game) fixed it for me though (in case you haven't already tried).
Thanks for the tip!
I turned V-sync off and now the control is much tighter. After playing some more I don't fall off edges and the boss fights are much more fun.
And I also managed to free 2x "worms" trapped in glass jars that I couldn't do before because of the input lag.

Playing with the steam controller.

Shooty Skies from the creators of Crossy Road is now on Steam with Linux support, it's nuts

Quoting: TuxeeCan't confirm that. Even on the lowest level the difficulty is absolutely absurd. I wonder whether this is a bug. It is definitely buggy since at one point my aircraft was invisible, the level scrolled on to the first boss and stayed there. All I could do was Alt-F4 the game.

Edit: Definitely a bug. Comparing with a gameplay video from the Steam forums my version runs about 10 times as fast as the one in the video.
Might be related to the same issue as me, altho I could only load as far as the intro splash and no further. As it is a Unity game, I simply edited the launch command to "LC_ALL=C %command%" and my comma-decimal-locale using self could play.

Edit: Reason I suggest this is I had issues with games running super fast before, that was also due to locale/Unity.
I can only get to the title screen,
Can you explain how you solved the title screen issue?

EDIT: I found where to paste the command and without the "" The game started.

What have you been playing and what do you think?

Playing Octodad with my 10 year old daughter. Pretty funny game and unusual control in a funny way.

Does it work with the Steam controller? I don´t have a keyboard or mouse for my Steam machine.
