The drop of Linux support is a major disappointment for me. I was an absolutely huge fan of Europa Universalis. However, the habit of Paradox to milk the cow with low quality content, the tradition of buggy releases of increasingly hollow games, and now the lack of Linux support means that I will wait a couple of years and get it at a deep discount. I do not want to encourage that sort of behavior.

It is not clear to me if the amount of effort is due to the relative lack of power of the Steam Deck (so they had to optimize more than usual, ultimately benefiting everyone) or if for some reason they hit specific bottlenecks with Proton.

I see that unfortunately it comes with an nvidia GPU. I understand this works for some, but it is a no-go for me. Is there any good quality offering of a pure AMD gaming laptop?

This is excellent news. I am no fan of the Warhammer editions as I considerably prefer a historical backdrop. I love this setting and it will be clearly on my wishlist. That being said I will probably not buy it on release day that CA has a history of releasing clearly unfinished games, which is making me very cautious now.

Well, it is a mistake in the sense that it is not available today on linux. However on Facebook they very much hinted that it was coming to linux too and that we just need to be a bit patient.

Has anyone managed to have the game at least start when not using the nvidia blob? I do not expect the game to run well at all or without glitches on my intel GPU but I am just getting a segmentation fault at the moment.
