Quite a bit of Battletech including a lot of skirmishes against a friend and done a bit of modest modding to increase the late-game challenge and fun a little.
Also had a bit of fun flying in IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad (wine). There is a fresh guide how to set it up on Linux in their forum.

Next on the agenda will The Witcher 3 . This might become the first Witcher game that keeps me playing after the tutorial ;-)

Has anyone tried TW:Attila? Would be nice to get cross OS multiplayer working if fps are decent.

Easiest way to avoid redownload is:
1. download the update - do not restart steam!
2. switch to offlinemode - will restart steam
3. redo the steamplay settings the way they were before the update
4. restart in online mode again

Valve have detailed some changes coming to Steam in an overview post

Make the highlight/middle-click paste work in Steam client, plx!
THEN start thinking about new stuff or redesigning old s(h)...tuff!
Thx!

For some reason Total War: THREE KINGDOMS is on my radar...
...I know I dislike their DLC policy and they will probably F up the new campaign features somehow and we will certainly not get crossplatform multiplayer...
... but for some reason I am interested again ;-)

Quoting: buenaventuraCan you enable them in an ongoing game or how does it work?
I think they are only available for new games via the main menu
.

Quoting: SchattenspiegelOh great, it redownloads the games... .

maybe put a word of warning into the article.
It doesn't. One Steam Play game update will grab the new Proton, all others are zero byte updates. Hopefully Valve will make it clearer eventually.

Might have been my fault somehow, but when i manually switched to the new proton beta version (was on the last stable one before) it wiped the games and started redownloading them completely.

Yet another launcher/store.
Given the design of their webpage it will probably be a pretty annoying one as well.
Let them present a finished product and have a decent selection of titles(that better not be exclusive to their store) available and one may think about it otherwise... who cares.
