NVIDIA driver 440.59 released for Linux
5 Feb 2020 at 2:35 am UTC

Recently got a bug that doesn't display the HDMI output sound when plugged HDMI cable.

Type "pulseaudio --kill" in a terminal (without quotes), wait some seconds, pulseaudio will restart by itself, then HDMI sound appears :D

Hope it helps some people :)

Edit : Using Endeavour OS + KDE Plasma

Sadly, it seems the original Ubuntu PPA [External Link] for these drivers hasn't been updated in some time.
You have the wrong link it's /ppa not /dev
Last update was 4 days ago for version 4.15.27

https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa [External Link]
Wrong, that is the normal PPA.
@TheDaftRick your link is the stable PPA, so that doesn't include beta for Vulkan testing, that's why liamdawe said yours is the wrong one

At least, the normal PPA is still active...

Also Linux Community - being abusive, demanding, rude to the few developers actually shipping games to your favourite OS isn't the way to go. It makes me regret ever shipping Linux versions.
Personally, I've never being insulting or bad to devs and I'm not the only one Linux user who is correct. Beside, Windows community isn't really better when read some Steam forums and recently about DRM Denuvo games, however, no devs told they're abusive or insulting community :O I'm sorry to take that kind of example but that's like saying that each single German was a Nazis during the second worldwide war, while they weren't all Nazis.

I think that devs should stop this excuse... there are bad people in every groups, please devs you shouldn't say that Linux community is insulting and abusive, that's childish answer... This is really a poor and easy excuse, plus it makes good Linux users feeling bad about those words since we aren't all disrespectful. :(

Redream is a work in progress Dreamcast emulator that supports Linux, has good compatibility

Redream is fine but closed-source, unfortunately...

RetroArch from Libretro Team did huge progress about Dreamcast emulation through Reicast and Reicast OIT. Now it runs lot of games. Some with a few graphics glitches but not as much ^_^

Rise of the Tomb Raider is now officially available on Linux, here’s a look at it with benchmarks

Hey buddies,

Using Antergos, Nvidia Proprietary (384.130 LLB), the game just works like a charm ^_^

I was hesitating to upgrade Nvidia drivers, but it seems that it doesn't need it. I also didn't change the CPU governor, seems it doesn't need at all either on this configuration :D

If you need to see computer specs, click "View PC Info", I don't type it here to not repeat stuffs

Hi

I'd like to get "Linux" options added about "Do you dual-boot with a different operating system?"
I have to use "Yes, Other" while I'm using two Linux dual-boot ^_^

Edit : I know a second Linux isn't another OS, still another Distro (for my part) and dual-boot

"PC" is clear for me, it means "Personal Computer" not Windows or any system but more like hardware :P
Unfortunately, that often means "Windows" for most of people, but this is wrong and it should change. That's like say "console" and think it's only Sony, that's just nonsense
Yeah but it has worked when a game is announced they say PC and thus have managed to get into the heads of the majority PC = Windows.
Yeah I know, but should be "PC Windows" not only "PC" :)
