Looks like GOG Galaxy won't come to Linux any time soon, as it's "not a priority"

Quoting: GuestSomehow this post made me really sad. I was expecting GOG Galaxy for Linux any time soon (as they wrote).

BTW GOG.com is now selling these "Pinata" things, where you get a random game. I bought 4 Pinatas and guess what: all games are Windows-only. Such a fail. Somehow did not expect that.
Well you can contact support. Their support is great.

On the topic: Well it was quiet clear that they didn't have it on their priorities (as in on the very bottom). Now you at least have it stated.

The recent Linux port teaser from Feral Interactive seems to be coming to Mac first now

Maybe it was simply the Norsca DLC.
I will quote them:
„The Feral Radar got distracted by a herd of geese. We're trying to fix it before it spots the incoming flock of ducks.“

So it is not the Norsca DLC.

What games do you want ported to Linux? Feral Interactive want to know again

Witcher 1 Linux does kinda exist... but they didnt want to publish it. Probably because it runs fine on WINE. So it'll have to sit unloved in Git for now ;)
What do you speak of?

Mesa has a few more games in the threaded OpenGL whitelist as of today

If I counted correctly, that's now 14 games (13 native, 1 in Wine) in total that have the feature turned on.

I don't know, but that doesn't really matter. Bioshock Infinite uses a wrapper (EON) too. And it improves some titles even with Wine. This is about single-threaded submission into the OpenGL command queue, not about the technology the game uses.
„If I counted correctly, that's now 14 games (13 native, 1 in Wine) in total that have the feature turned on.“

Matters for the above statement. Last I checked native means not using a wrapper.

The Witcher 3 didn't come to Linux likely as a result of the user-backlash from The Witcher 2

And let the WAR begin!
I will pick no side but would like to warn both sides, not to drag in community as they do not speak for community…

Anyway, I personally don't care. I wouldn't buy anything but native anyway. So for me, it's no loss.

It will be ready to play via Wine soon (I have put my bet for september, but we will see if i'm right), so I will do that. That is if I still want to play the game to begin with.

Quoting: ShmerlWaiting to test TW3 in Wine staging, once patches will catch up. Guillaume Charifi from Wine developers claims, that he tested tesselation shaders implementation, and got such results:

These patches don't seem to be public though.
Just retested witcher 3 with latest git (wine 2.3) + memory patch and it does render better (not as good though, staging we need).
But my PC can't keep up with it, so performance is bad.
I hit around 30% swap, maybe more.

Update: Processor is around 60-70% usage, video card is around 30-40%. So I guess swap does slow down the performance alot. Have to upgrade.

4 GB RAM + 10GB swap

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiT@Feral: Will it be vulkan? Are there any vulkan ports to be announcet right now? :)
I asked on Facebook. They said its opengl. Vulkan is coming later in the year, it wasn't clear if they are planning Vulkan for an unreleased game or for titles like Hitman and Dues Ex that have a DX12 back end already.
They already confirmed last year that Deus Ex MD will be their first Vulkan title (that they will add Vulkan support for the game in Spring 2017).
To clarify, we haven't announced what our first Vulkan game will be, nor a timescale of spring. We're aiming to get a Vulkan game out in the first half of this year.

If you got Vulkan tangled up with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, that's because we talked about Vulkan during a Deus Ex: Mankind Divided live stream. Which was nice and confusing, woo.
