Seeing the weird benchmarks on higher end card seems like the CPU is the actual bottle-neck?

In theory this game is just begging for Vulkan.

I assume this game is still unplayable with a GT 500 series card? Looking at GFLOPS, my chip barely reaches minimum requirements.

this has been mentioned in the various talks and presentations by the Khronos Group and certain developers that have already had some experience with the API.

BTW the game has not "shipped" it is in BETA.

Still on my first game, Earth ofc, 80h and counting lol. Sector GUI is indeed rubbish. Actually had 1 CTD in it. A few other glitches as well, all but one fixed with a reload.

Easy mode? What?! It's been a walk so far. Perhaps due to powerful friends, *shrugs* Otherwise, it seems the estimated strength meter is a bit off: I kept to myself for far too long instead of beating the crap out of everyone. Then again, I did not piss off any fallen empires, duh. I am looking forward to taking one on soon as I am getting close with not all stats 'overwhelming' any more.

Hint: integrating vassals is cool and all but takes forever if they have many planets.

As a side note, I hate hyperlane enemies, next FTL I'm using for sure.
