74 hours and no, I only hate myself so much. :D Beating the main game is as far as I'm willing to go I think.
Steam now has a form of platform-specific wishlisting, to help developers see demand

I think this is a good thing. Seeing numbers of actual individuals pointed out gotta be encouraging, whether they're 100% accurate or not. You can't take the wishlist numbers of Windows users at face value either anyway. Not all of them will buy your game soon or at all.

Quoting: EikeUhhh, I mean I remember enjoying the first episode on its own considerably, I decided to buy and play the rest after all, but, as I'm sure you understand, an episode of a longer story can only be so self-contained. It felt fairly satisfying but at the same time it also ends on a kind of a cliffhanger.Quoting: qptain NemoIf you're into story-driven stuff, The Detail is a very neat solid crime thriller.I already had a look at it today but was held back from the negative reviews saying it lacks in choices making a difference. It's pratically free, though - 51 Euro Cents here. :) Is this episode 1 self-contained?

But I guess some purely cosmetic items that look really nice among a bunch of non-exclusive items could do the trick. In fact the more I think about it the more it seems like a good idea if done right.

Quoting: AresoAnother possible way to make 0% Valve share from Linux sales, so devs could offer some bonuses for those users, who buy and run games in Linux to stimulate them. It's a nice idea in theory but it's very hard to come up with something of that nature that wouldn't make users of other platforms feel being treated unfairly neither come off as cheap.
Devs could not make a sale for one platform, but they can offer DLCs, start bundles, some nice wallpapers, emoji or whatsever they could offer.

Quoting: ZapaThat's really cool! I thought I'll be the first one to do that. :) Cheers, man.Quoting: qptain NemoYeah! It's my main platform for both development and gaming! And it always bothered me that people show Windows first so why not do the reverse myself :DQuoting: ZapaHi,The trailer shows the Linux logo before the Windows one. Was that intentional?
Thanks for covering the game. Glad you liked it! The game comes with the source code when bought on Steam/Itch but I forgot to update on github. The source has been uploaded there as well.
Thank you,
Zapa

edit: okay got and actually played it, it looks like it does actually also use polygonal cubes so you're right :D
Lovely thing for what it is!

Quoting: tuubiSo it's like a (faux) voxel tech demo? Would it be so hard to think of some optional goals at least to keep players interested? I love exploration in games and I don't mind casual experiences either, but I need something to work towards. I lost interest in pure sandboxes around the time I got too old to play in actual sandboxes. YMMV.Why faux? It at least looks like for once the rendering is done with "actual" voxels and not polygonal cubes.

I know I'm in no rush to switch to Wayland now, I can tell you this much. X can be improved too after all.

Quoting: appetrosyanI would say that maybe Wayland is a huge mistake that we're going to regret, but time will tell. I don't like where it's going. I've spent an entire day, trying to figure out, how to get the active window's title under Wayland. Turns out, There isn't any. It's deprecated, as a security measure.I have very similar concerns about Wayland after discovering that it removes some essential tools in the name of security, which is applied at the wrong level IMO. If their approaches aren't changed it could "ruin" or much more likely seriously damage the Linux desktop. What kinda desktop experience doesn't allow taking screenshots or setting global shortcuts? And forcing desktop environments to hack around this is both going against the very modularity and interoperability that Linux was built on, and undermining and rendering moot the original security concern.
Of course cybersecuirty is important. It's just that a system's overall security is given by its weakest point, and keylogging on (of all things) Linux, is the least of my concerns. It's like prescribing exercise to a burn victim. And they didn't seem to be interested in exposing an API to do what is perfectly possible on X.org.
What I hope is that Canonical would be the voice of reason.
