Another CPU-DESTROYER port from Feral...

I compared with the same pc the native port vs Wine vs Wine Staging
You can find more info on our forum

I'm very sorry to say this, but this port (at this time) adds nothing to what we already had on Linux (with Wine).
I'm not the best person to judge someone else's work because I'm not a "porter" but in my opinion Feral needs to review their port method because the cpu usage is always HUGE, and I encountered this issue also on Grid Autosport and Tomb Raider.
You can enjoy this game if you have a very good cpu, use Wine Staging (Wine Gallium Nine for AMD) if the native port doesn't satisfy you

Anyway great launcher! i liked it a lot

well the game runs great with Wine + Gallium Nine (quite on par with window$)

Looks like I end up with an empty installation every time I try to install it, I guess I will try tomorrow

Rust has now sold over 30 thousand copies on Linux

I think that he also needs to pay some taxes and probably steam wants a cut from these 19.99 too

Anyway I didn't know about the hate towards us but i don't care too much since i'm not interested in this game.

But it's really sad to hear that, in my opinion a developer makes a Linux port pointing on future sales and not pretending to fill the wallet after a month.. if the game doesn't sell well on Linux is because people stick with Windoz (or because your tweets sucks).
But this may change in the future (not sure for his tweets)

Humble 2K Bundle 2 has a few big Linux games for cheaps

Quoting: TheGZeusOk, I hear Spec-Ops: The Line has an amazing story, but "passable" gameplay.
As I _already know the story_ (every critic raving about it for years) is it worth getting?
I know it's only a dollar (I've already played The Pre-Sequel and I'm rubbish at Civ), but... it's my dollar.
those 3 games are a steal for 1$

I was very interested in Mafia II that should run great on wine but couldn't care less about nba2k16 and i already own CivV.
As for the top tier, Borderlands is on my wishlist, but I have absolutely no interest in Battleborn because I won't be able to play it soon (unless a native port coming or Wine d3dx11 improvements).
I will probably buy the 1€ tier next week unless they add something special

ps. great bundle from Humble Bundle after a good amount of not so interesting bundles

Speak of the devil...

also Arma 3 played fine on AMD with the open source drivers when i tried it on a "free weekend"
but Saints Row 2-3 are really terrible :(

The curious tale of vanishing Linux & SteamOS ports, a status on a few of them

I don't know about you guys but I'm always extremely surprised (in a bad way) when I read about developers "not having a Linux Machine" or acting this way whenever linux is mentioned:

I mean if you are developer (so a bit of a computer geek) shouldn't Linux be some sort of a "Tweakers Paradise" to get your hands on at least once in your life?

But no, sometimes it looks like my 60+ yo mom knows more about Linux than someone who uses the PC daily as a full time job..

I never got burned mainly because I only buy heavily discounted stuff or bundles, but it's a shame for people who bought a game expecting a Linux port who still has to come.

I guess we will see more AAA port with the advancing of Linux as a "known" Window$ alternative (it is already an alternative but people don't know of its existence).

Also be loud and let devs/people hear our voice in various forums is the way to assure us more ports :)

Quoting: ProfessorKaos64Cool, I like space battles. Anyone know the song in the video?
Original Music: "BFG" by Ryan Frith (audioshiv) and Adam Lyle (solbein)

the game looks like space run but from another perspective and with a darker note
