Ugh, this sounded so promising until I got to the part about weapons and combat.

Quoting: KelsI'm surprised that they lifted almost the exact fishing minigame from Stardew Valley. And the idea of dungeon adventuring in a farming sim.
Welp, that makes it a no-go for me. I play sim games to get *away* from the killing fields.

Unfortunately, this one falls into the same trap as Great Permutator of thinking that retro style graphics have to be ugly. I can't imagine staring at that bilious color palette long enough to play the game.

Aw, man, I'm bummed to hear about the text bug. I know myself too well to try playing with that going on. :( Will just have to be patient and wait for the patch. At least the devs seem to be aware and responsive.

Quoting: gomeraSo, are you guys buying games from GOG even though they never finished the promising GOG Galaxy for Linux? For me it's a blocker, I prefer still buying games on Steam because of the simplicity when installing games. Am I missing something? cause installing manually dependencies may be a pain in the neck. Is it just because of DRM Free? Just asking, not trying to impose my idea to anyone.
GOG vs Steam is a quandary of DRM-free vs supportive of Linux and some people go one way and others go the other way and a few hardy souls tell them both to sod off.

Quoting: GuppyLooks like it might be a nice chill game for my kids to enjoy - unless there are a lot of quests/menus to read in english?
The tutorial takes some reading, but past that it's pretty much just item names.

Quoting: CreakI don't know much people still using 12.04...
They shouldn't be. It hit end-of-life almost a year ago, so no more security updates. Can't even imagine running a computer on the modern internet with no current security updates. *shudder*

Fantasy Farming: Orange Season, a farm-life RPG recently added Linux support

Apparently, we get *all* the farming games this week! And I'm okay with that! :D

Farming sim 'Cattle and Crops' hits Steam Early Access, has Linux support

Correct me if I'm wrong, I did look, but this might be the first "proper" farming sim to be made available on Linux. I didn't find anything else like it, so that's progress I guess.
I'm pretty sure it is. I scrutinize all the farming-themed games pretty closely and this is the first Farming Simulator-esque title I've seen for Linux.

Farm Together, a cute & chilled out farming sim will come with Linux support

I especially love the part where the cute little escapist fantasy farming game is too unrealistic, but zombie rampages are totally fine. :P
