NVIDIA looking to hook up Reflex support in Proton

Quoting: rustigsmedso is then intended to allow frame generation to happen in linux?
Nvidia Reflex is not related to frame generation.
Yes it is, turning on Frame Generation auto-enables Reflex, as it is required to mitigate the latency increase of FG.
Every single DLSS 3.0 FG game depends on Reflex, so this might be Nvidia paving the way for FG on Linux.

Aspyr Media have delayed the Civilization VI 'Fall 2017' update until sometime after the 'holiday break'

Copy pasta from my previous comment on an other Aspyr News: Aspyr has to step it up, there's a quite noticeable gap in both quality and quantity between Feral and Aspyr, and it just seems to get bigger and bigger. They haven't even released a Vulkan title (or even some experimental build, like Mad Max) yet, Feral is miles ahead.

These are probably the best Monthly early unlocks ever if you're on Windows (they get Quantum Break too). Wonder what the rest of the games could be, they have to be sub par, right?

Quoting: LeopardThis game also uses Dx12 on Windows and i remember from your release stream , this game is so heavy on cpu. A Vulkan renderer update would be good.

Not need to mention cross platform multiplayer.
Definitely agree. Aspyr has to step it up, there's a quite noticeable gap in both quality and quantity between Feral and Aspyr, and it just seems to get bigger and bigger. They haven't even released a Vulkan title (or even some experimental build, like Mad Max) yet, Feral is miles ahead.

Editorial: The Nintendo Switch will use Vulkan, why that doesn't suddenly mean more Linux ports

The reason why most Linux ports perform so badly is because they were designed with DirectX in mind. Feral can (and did) confirm that. If they used Vulkan instead than the Linux port could perform at a 100% speed compared to the Windows version (assuming identical drivers are used). Yes, they would still have to actually port the game to Linux, but they wouldn't have to worry about writing an OpenGL renderer or using a wrapper.

America the Beautiful was originally written as a poem, called "Pikes Peak".

I'm curious how they come up with these names, though.
