I've been playing Far Cry 3 on Windows for the past few weeks after completing Tomb Raider and the Portal series on Linux, and the next game on my list to play is SpecOps: The Line.

It's not likely to help you, the command is probably an environment variable directly affect nvidia's blobs rather than Feral's code. Quick google shows that to be the case.

Which drivers are you using under GNU/Linux?
"If you're having the same trouble with AMD and not Nvidia then there is also something on that same page about what to do. It follows the same idea so it isn't hard."

It appears that the OP in the linked discussion is using AMD, so that's the fix I'm going to try. I'm using the open source drivers.
