Quoting: FaalagornBut Steam Machines are pretty much a basic PC with standard components. The current state of VR is much more in a state of research and development. Since HTC didn't completely fail in their first attempt, it makes sense to continue development there and benefit from the experience gained.Quoting: EhvisIt seems odd that Valve would be actively helping with competition for the Vive.Actually, it seems a lot like Valve to me - after all, they did something kinda similar with Steam Machines, partnershipping with multiple companies. The only one who I'd imagine to have problems with it though, would be HTC itself :P

It seems odd that Valve would be actively helping with competition for the Vive. Maybe this is something different. Maybe a Hololens type thing to complement the VR set?

Quoting: Alm888Or to use #IFDEF / #ELIF directives everywhere. And that's provided that "win32" and "fd" versions are equivalent for the code and not require some vastly different usage. That's probably the whole point. They needed to do that anyway because the systems have different approaches to these system functions. Khronos could either put two different approaches in the same extension or separate them. Since a system can only really implement one approach, separating them in different extensions is better way to do it.

I do enjoy these logic puzzles, but these games are usually waaaaaay too easy. I'll get mine from Conceptis Puzzels directly. Even though that means (ugh) flash.

Maybe Alm88 missed the "_fd" versions for non-Windows operating systems.

Quoting: jith_feralHi, if you haven't already, can you please send the seg fault dump to [email protected]? If you've opened a ticket you can just reply to the existing ticket with the seg fault info, otherwise get in touch with details about the problem.I hadn't mailed yet. But on a freshly booted system, it worked without error. So it looks like it's conflicting with something. I'll do more testing.

Quoting: LeopardYes. It's the only resolution available. Even in windowed mode. Also, I think the last 0.5 GB would cause performance issues, not crashes. I'll mail Feral support.Quoting: EhvisFirst time I have major issues with a Feral port. So far I've made it as far as the video after the helicopter pad before it exits with error 139 (segfault). Has anybody seen driver issues? Are you playing this on your desktop resulotion?
You know,Gtx 970's has 3.5 Gb full speed vram, maybe this is your problem.
