PipeWire is the future for Linux audio and I am sold on it

I'm really excited for pipewire, but alas until (pulse) networking and documentation (as well as stability) are improved i'm stuck with pulse.

Pulse is amazing too you know problem is that it lacks Jack-like patchbay UI, everything needs to be done via CLI.

t. uses midi controller to control separate master/game/music/voip/browser volumes
t. uses networked pa to share mic and speakers between desktop and laptop
t. uses networked pa to stream music from mpd device to desktop laptop (and headless pulseaudio to bluetooth speakers)

WRAEK think they can change PC gaming with the Tactonic Pro

having used wooting keyboard which also """"revolutionized"""" pc gaming with analog switches, I can say that this is just another useless gimmick that's gonna cause more interference (i ended up disabling joystick emulation on my wooting completely) than improvement, not to mention getting each individual game to work with something like it is a pain in the ass for very little benefit.

lastly: TKL only? seriously?

DOOM Eternal coming to Stadia on March 20, plus other Stadia news - a round-up

>looks absolutely insane

looks absolutely boring, worst trailer out all of the doom4/doom5 trailers. There's too much plot and story exposition and our supposedly brutal and insane doom slayer just stands and listens to it instead of ripping and tearing.

also why are you covering stadia all that much? or doom 5 specifically? trailer also didn't show steam icon, so we can assume bethesda launcher exclusivity already which means harder to use with proton.

Homestuck adventure game HIVESWAP: Act 1 releases without promised Linux support

Quoting: GuestThey took 2 million dollars, 1.25 million more than they needed, and then said "screw this shit" and ditched it (at least for us)?

Please let there be a lawsuit.
Hiveswap had an unpleasant history.

Well, as far as i know, they contracted gamedev called The Odd Gentlemen, who took the money did little work and then ditched them taking the money and working on King's Quest instead. Also, game was originally planned to be in 3D (like grim fandango i think), but "technical issues" made development process slow down to a crawl, so they decided to remake it in 2D. All that delayed game by an enormous margin, fans considered hiveswap to be the new duke nukem forever or half-life ep3. And when it got released we only got like first chapter of story, not the entire thing. So it's kinda reasonable to get SOMETHING done, instead of delaying it even further with reasons that affect like 2-4% of userbase, it would get the majority mad.

I'm a backer for that game. Some t-shirts i got as rewards are already got holes in them from use and age.

'gifine' is a pretty simple open source tool for making small gifs and videos

For gifs I prefer QGifer, https://github.com/int-0/QGifer [External Link] even though it's a bit outdated and visually fails many times it's still the best thing to make gifs from video i've ever seen.
