Quoting: CorbenThanks a lot! ;)Quoting: nadrolinuxCan you provide a link to this project? I'm looking for something like that. You can find such a project here: https://github.com/xomachine/SteamForwarder [External Link]
An older one was SteamBridge.
Beware though, I have never tried this myself, and you might get banned using it.

Quoting: CorbenThere is a github project out there already, that let's you use a Windows game with wine communicating with the Linux Steam client. So SteamWorks etc. is working. Of course not officially supported, but Valve could be working on something similar.Hi,
Can you provide a link to this project? I'm looking for something like that.
Cheers,

Quoting: YoRHa-2BWeird, it crashes for me right after the Piranha Bytes logo with *any* version of wine that is not the Arch build of 3.9 (non-staging). Even my own 3.9 builds crash the game for some reason.Did you test with wine 3.11? I think that 70% of performance compared to Windows may be related to CPU utilisation issues in Wine, because when I run the game with taskset and choose 6 instead of 12 available threads performance drop to even 40 FPS, so it's something wrong, because on Windows this game use just 2 threads most of the time. When I assigned just 2 threads to this game via taskset I just had 12 FPS. I think that in optimal scenerio 80% of the performance is realistic (eg. I have around 80% of windows performance in The Witcher 3 on Linux).
Performance cannot really be improved any further and 70% of Windows perf is to be expected.
BTW. I have Ryzen 1600X + 3200MHz RAM + Radeon 580 8GB.

Quoting: YoRHa-2BYesterday I tested ELEX with wine 3.11 + DXVK from git + Radeon drivers from Padoka PPA and all worked fine, however I had 53 FPS on Ubuntu vs 75 FPS on Windows with the same settings. Performance lost in The Witcher 3 is smaller.Quoting: ShmerlFrom DRM-free games, I've heard Elex works well.Unfortunately it seems that wine 3.10 broke it, at least I had no luck running it since then. I'd appreciate if someone else who owns the game could test that.

Quoting: mrdeathjrThanks a lot. I thought that EE is still DX9.Quoting: nadrolinuxThanks for information.Yeah enhanced edition is DX11 and 64bit but last time try this game dont run
I tried to play Risen 3 Enhanced Edition, thats why I choosed 64 bit wineprefix.
It looks like a standard version of Risen 3 works good, however EE not.
However for this title type (DX11 - 64bit) staging is highly recommended

Did you installed additional libraries like d3dx9 etc?
Yes, my hardware and software differ a lot.
I have Radeon RX580 (mesa-git) and Ubuntu 17.10, however I think that a problem is related to wine configuration.
I use 64 bit wineprefix without additional libraries.
I can test risen 3 with wine 3.0-rc6 and still works
Respect prefix my main prefix is 32bit only (I use risen 3 standard DX9), i have another for 64bit apps but this game is 32bit (enhanced edition is different)
