Epic and Improbable are taking advantage of Unity with the SpatialOS debacle, seems a little planned

When one's eyes are bigger than one's stomach.

I personally don't understand all this thing about fortnite, I personally consider it a not that good of a game to have so many player base. But when a new thing arrives and the fashion trends move to another place seems like epic will have a shallow grave.

Valve have some serious competition, with the Epic Games Store being announced

Have to say that epic offer is very good for developers ... but in the end we need to compare EULA.

Always people discussing about DRM and steam being DRM, there are lots of games on steam that are DRM free, that is the developer choice.

I see good thing from EPIC opening there own store, even from EA and UBI, competition moves the market, but while there is none of them on linux no support from me.

Five is way to much

I will be really happy with Magic the Gathering Arena.

But I would swap those five with a new partnership announcement, maybe Epic, Ubisoft or even Blizzard.
And say Blizzard because i miss WoW and the only way for me to renew my subscription is having WoW native.

Feral Interactive are teasing a brand new native Linux port

Quoting: EikeWhat I'm curious to know is if you buy it now and play using Proton, does Feral still get their cut? Someone should ask on their Twitter, but I don't have a Twitter-account :)
Yes it's linux, Liam already got the confirmation from Valve

Facepunch are no longer selling the Linux version of the survival game Rust (updated)

Quoting: liamdaweLinux is and will still be supported but the decision to remove Linux from purchase was mainly based on multiple issues in the current Unity version (2018.1.4)
....
Linux is in a state of limbo in which we're unable to resolve, instead of selling a broken platform we decided to remove it from purchase but still offer it to existing players.

Once Linux is in a working state we'll review the decision.
Added to the article.[/quote]This is really good news, I'm one of those that bought the game and was never able to play it but also never refunded hopping that one day will be fixed, just hope they will use beta option on steam.

But I never seen so much hate in GOL as in this thread, relax, life is short, enjoy it

Liam as a journalist you already new that this post would be a wildfire, just suggesting that sometimes you should block comments in some articles :), freedom of speech sometimes can be really annoying.

Windows 10 S might alarm Valve into boosting SteamOS again

I truly believe that Microsoft is about to close is system, and we all can see it, only the blind don't see it, the timing when it will happen only they know.
I love what valve has been doing for Linux and feel the community is getting strong the last two years.
But what stops others like blizzard, UBI(not saying EA because they are being bought by Microsoft) and many more to build there own SO!!!
For the casual Steam-OS it's a closed system and somewhat it's not different from W10 working module.
One way or another I feel the future is good and strong for Linux in general.
