A look at how much RAM you might need as a Linux gamer

I ran with 8GB for a long time perfectly fine. Then I wanted to start using mods in Cities Skylines and the game would not even launch. I upgraded to 24GB recently because of this and now Cities runs. With mods, it needs much more than 8GB ram. I find this with a lot of games, if you like using mods take this into account when figuring out how much ram you will need.
Ark also ran better once I had more than 8GB. But Ark runs poorly at the best of times.

Wait, I have misunderstood the last question. Does the foundation range mean the distance from a foundation dino's spawn at? If so its fine for me altho I don't live in a really hostile place and my walls are up.
I just worry about caves. If placing a foundation in caves all the way down will prevent dino's spawning may hurt the game. I could be wrong. Please correct me if I am.

Quoting: Rolz73I just want to say, I am having a fantastic time on the server. The multipliers work for me the way they stand right now as compared to stock(I think the V-Day multiplier is adding to that...). No other players have come over and jumped all over my stuff as I try to build. No bullshit, "you can't do this or that, but you can die because here we tromp all over you for no reason, haha don't be salty, git gud".Ya this server is alot of fun! I am having a geat time as well. If you need an help just ask.
I actually like ARK now.
Even despite a few rage quits I have admittedly done as I over-extended my skill level and had to partially rebuild.
If my stuff gets stepped on now, I really COULD accept that. At least I was given some time to complete some objectives.
This, and the live streams (I like playing RL on that sometimes), and all the other Linux Gaming news you provide.
Liam, you just got my first patreon.
Thank you

Nice!
I am going to have to look into this game now. With this server and Ark is there a community voice chat server like Mumble or anything similar?
