I purchased a Wild Dog Pro from System 76. I live in Canada and the shipping was about $500. But even with the costs of shipping and exchange rate I will be shopping at System 76 in the future. This computer is rock solid. I was sick of fighting hardware to get Linux running on computers I would piece together so with my gaming rig I went to them and it was worth it.

WOW, was not sure what to expect but first impressions are great, runs well and looks good. Easy to install. I only played this game on xbox when it came out. Look forward to giving it a go on my trusty Linux box! I am officially a fan!

Purchased Morrowind on GOG after reading this. I am going to give it a go. This game is my fav Elder Scrolls game and I was just talking about it with a friend yesterday.

For me in 2016, the game I played most is Dwarf Fortress. 2nd is Ark Survival Evolved, then Cities Skylines. What can I say, I like building things. I would like to thank all the Dev's who support Linux, but give a special shout out to the Bay 12 Brothers. You guys are simply unmatched, DF is awe inspiring, a never ending source of fun for me. Thank You and Happy Holidays!

Quoting: FredOHow is X Rebirth now with latest patch and all DLC? The reviews are so mixed on Steam, it's hard to know what to think about it.For me X Rebirth had a very bad start. When it first came to Linux it did not run very well. I let it sit in my library untouched till the Home of Light DLC was released. Then I gave it a proper play through. Now it runs well and I didnt have any game breaking bugs. It is different than the other X games however it started to grow on me the more I played. It has alot of good ideas, some could use some more fleshing out. But now after playing it for over 300 hours and X3 into the 1000's of hours. I hope x4 will be a mix of the 2 games. Station building for example is way better. All in all XR, for me at least, is a solid game now. It won me over after a very bad start. Egosoft could have let it die. But they didnt. They should be proud of what XR turned out to be.

X3AP is the game I have spent most time on according to Steam. Egosoft gets my money as soon as their games hit Linux, no questions. I have enjoyed everything they have made. I will be drooling on my keyboard waiting for whatever they release next. Like Gobo said above. Welcome back, old friend!

Don't get me wrong Gettysburg is fantastic and I will definatly be picking up the new one. I agree its a tactical war game, and a damn good one. When I first picked it up I was a little dissapointed to learn it didnt have nation building, politics side of things. But once i started playing the battles are very well done. Easy to controll but alot of depth in a great looking and sounding package.
Altho I believe they have added some army building in the new one in between the battles as well as supply management.

Quoting: Mountain ManSo is this a grand strategy game that covers the entire Civil War? Because that would be awesome.I would not say its a "grand" strategy game. It is just battles or scenarios. It is a lot lighter than Paradox games or even Civ in my opinion. No empire building, or moving armies on a large map, just battles. In Gettysburg the armies are predetermined and you must win or loose then move to the next scenario. But this game does add some depth compared to Gettysburg.

Ever since I played StarMade, Minecraft has lost its luster. StarMade is my go to when I get the block building itch. Have not played Minecraft a few years. Maybe its time for another look.
Have not played Minetest but know about it. I like what I see, maybe I will give that a go as well.
