I'm thankful for Brutal Legend, my favourite game.... saw it on sale this summer, find out that was for Linux too and thought "well, let's try".
After that I discovered this site and from 3 games on Steam now I have about 40 (30 on Linux)....
I used to dual boot for gaming before, ignoring the linux gaming, but after GOL I use steam more, I don't boot windows (7) from months and my wallet is empty...Oh,and I bought a Steam Controller too!
You (GOL Community) actually helped me to do the "great step" (using only Linux) so... Thank you!
(Went a bit OT... :D )
Oh, you mean "most thankful right now"? Well, I don't know... I'm playing a lot of SR2 now but only for the story (since the port have many, many issues)... Sincerely, I don't know... I have to play a lot of games yet (and my pc can't run some of the Feral Ports) so... every good game for this platform!

Hope to see Blood Bowl (1 or 2) ported to Linux too!
Blood Bowl 2 was my first and only game on the Warhammer Universe but I'm interested in this game too!
Can't wait to see the minimum requirements!

Amnesia?
A horror game without a big story would be best because of spoilers (since I don't usually play horror games).
BTW, here an interesting list.

Passed from:
1- "Not buying it: just bought Humble Gems Bundle for Assault Android Cactus and Crypt of the Necrodancer from Steam Halloween Sales"
to
2- "There are some good Linux games though... I'll think about it"
to
3- Ok, for that price I'll buy it (Chosen the "more than average" )
in seconds...
And these are only Halloween sales.... I fear Christmas sales now...

Very excited! I hope it will be an article about these SteamDevDays too...
By the way, Vive for Linux is useless without games... Hope to see "The Lab" ported too!
I want to try VR really bad but:
1)my pc can't run it for now
2)the VR alone costs a lot (I mean Vive)
3)I don't have enough space in my room to play
If someone have a Vive to gift, I'm here...

Quoting: chimpyNice. I see he's using a system76 with Gnome shell, but I wonder what distro he's using? From the GitHub:
USD is currently supported on Linux platforms and has been built and tested on CentOS 7 and RHEL 7.So, now I have one more reason to see their movies....even if I'm not a child anymore! :D
We are actively working on porting USD to both Windows and Mac platforms. Support for both platforms should be considered experimental at this time. Currently, the tree will build on Mac, but will not build on Windows.
The Witcher 3 was apparently never planned for Linux

I've never thought really about W3 when I was a Windows user... Switching to Linux and reading GOL every day changed this a bit...I was caught into the hype for this game too.
Now, after reading this article, I'm not only disappointed but I have a strange feeling, a urge to play the Witcher games, partly because I remembered they are good and partly because a part of me wants to play this game (even if it's not for Linux and my Hardware specs won't allow me to play it!).
So, I'm a bit sad, I still have a faint hope about it and I will wait until:
- W3 will be released on linux or
- my desires about it will be gone or
- I'll decide to buy a PS4 or
- Wine will be able to play it

Speculation: It's looking like Rocket League may finally arrive on Linux in September

The only problem is that I'm crap at it... Hope to be able to play with inxperienced people.
Is cross-platform multiplayer granted?
Can players create groups (so not playing with random people)? If Yes a GOL group would be awesome!
Last question... Is Controller a good idea? Or only Steam Controllers will work?
Hope to see the game for Linux... One day. If not this September, next month, next year...sincerely, I own more games I'm able to play (time management problem not Hardware problem)

Quoting: sigz@pythoneer, the game hasn't lost interest, there is still 100k+ people playing it every evening. Even if it's released in september the game will be enjoyable.Correction: if the port is done right it will be very enjoyable!

Sometimes I think about the games of my childhood and how much I liked them... Most of the are easily playable on Wine or retrogaming programs today, some are even released on Linux (GOG recently did that with 3 games from Disney)...
Since some movies never ages, why games should get old and get (mostly) ignored? The "fog" about the abandonware confuse us too while old movies gets sold and/or remastered easily (think about Disney Classics or old movies)
Apart from this "nostalgia" thoughts, I think that some more tags on articles like this may help some people.... I think about tags like "suitable for children" or "retrogaming" (old games sold for Linux) or "remastered" (and many more)...
Sincerely, I've never thought about Steam as a store for children games too!

I hope you're going to show us the "masterpieces"! I'm very curious...
You should open a "museum" (both physically and on the site) to show them, adding the winner(s) from the previous and the future competitions.
Anyway, congratulations to the winners!
P.S.: I've learned 2 things from this experience... First I should learn how to use GIMP & Krita and second I should buy Stardew Valley at the next sale :D
