Skyrim was a progress after Oblivion and Morrowind, I don't see a point in this remaster, rather make a better game after Skyrim.

Refurbished Steam Deck LCD and Steam Deck OLED back in stock in the UK and Europe - act fast

Everyone to his own but I don't like playing the games with thumbs or using the controllers, then also I don't value Steam Deck so much. Maybe when the prices drop to half of that I'll reconsidr. And what's the point in using something someone already owned?

The Witcher IV revealed with Ciri as the protagonist

But did they do a market research to find out how many of female players will play Witcher game? Speaking only for myself, I find it hard to identify with the character, if playing the game with a female character. I have nothing against it, I just think they missed the market.

Let's hope the labwc will speed up the graphic on RPis. I already switched to it on my Pi and didn't notice much of a difference.

Raspberry Pi launch their own SSDs and SSD Kits, along with SD Cards

Hello,
I am using RPI 5 for my Desktop station since 12/2023.
I never had any speed problems with SD CARD providing the card is AT LEAST U3 (just 10 or U1 won't suffice).
The processor is limited, so having a ultra speedy disk won't be much of the improvement, and if it's true that the hat is covering over the processor and if the processor can't be any longer cooled with the coolsink, then it's a huge step back bacause RPIs heat a lot (if used as a desktop PC). If this is true then I won't get this hat.

Also get a decent case with your RPI. FLIRC case with passive cooling is excellent and looks megacool. https://flirc.tv/products/raspberry-pi-5-case [External Link]

Steam Deck LCD 64GB and 512GB discounted until July 11

Quoting: BoldosOr how does this work, actually?
Internal 64 GB storage is used for the operating system, SD card (1 TB in my case I think)

Fast 256 GB card is around 100 euro, how much is then 1TB SD card if it is available at all?

I agree it is best to let operating system run on it's 64 GB internal eMMC storage and keep the games on another storage. All probably works faster if they don't share the storage.

But if you buy with intent to upgrade at start, 512 GB eMMC is a better option. Unless you own some big sd cards already.

Caves of Qud gets a huge new Beta released with the big UI redesign

I track this game to buy it but they always give discount of only 10%.
The game is interesting for a relatively small niche of nethack fans, so I don't understand the price.
It should cost less.

Linux hit over 3% desktop user share according to Statcounter

I think people found out and heard that they can play most if not all of their games if they install Linux instead of Windows. They gave it a try and some decided to stay.

The best Linux distribution for gaming in 2023

Kubuntu, because I don't like Gnome, and before that I didn't like Unity. KDE has lot more options than Gnome and can be better customised (in my opinion).
I wouldn't go to other non-xUbuntu Linux forks. I tried Arch, it broke suddenly taking some of my documents with it. It's because I didn't read every text file every single word in new updates while updating, and didn't type dozens of commands and made changes in definition files before installing new updates. It's ridiculous, it's not a mainframe server, it's a PC.
Fedora is rpg based, in my opinion thats inferior than deb. Although I would say Fedora is more technically progressive than Ubuntu and is a kernel pool for Red Hat Enterprise Linux which is a a good, but paid Linux.
Gentoo and Slack and other "compile it" variants are IMO not for the usual user..
I don't know how is SteamOS, is it still developed, is it better? But I don't use Linux for gaming only so it's not in my choice list.
So Kubuntu.
