Wow, very interesting. The Linux platform needs more space sims, absolutely. At the fear of pigeonholing, this looks more in the vein of the prior X3 (or as someone else mentioned, Pioneer) in that the main focus is on the economics and trading, rather than combat and exploration (like Elite Dangerous). I can't wait to buy and try. Best of all good things to the developer, who seems like they're already quite far along.

I've been watching and hugely looking forward to this for a while. There are so few space combat games on Linux, this will be quite welcome. I've been just replaying through Strike Suit Zero just to scratch the itch. I wish them well. My money awaits...

I wondered about the Chrome OS effect too, as it was my gateway to Linux. Playing around with Linux and seeing what it had to offer was so easy and calamity free on a Chromebook. Intrigue about Elementary OS drew me in, and now I'm a daily Gallium OS user (Linux distro designed for Chromebooks). With millions of more CB's being sold each year, Android support coming, and tons of students playing around with them in schools, I'm sure some fraction of those folks will try a Linux install...
