Become a powerful Rogue in the latest update to the action-RPG Last Epoch
10 Dec 2020 at 1:03 pm UTC

Rogue class (currently level 20) is something that I was looking forward to.
Feels more like a barbarian (with one skill at least), but I really enjoy the leveling so far with this class.
Dual wielding is such a beauty!

Time-travel action-RPG 'Last Epoch' adds customizable loot filters in a major update

Quoting: ripper81358Sadly this game runs very bad on my linux PC. I have massive graphical glitches (flickering) that is caused by the ambient occlusion setting. I have to turn ambient occlusion to "very low" to get rid of the flickering. The other thing i have noticed is a frequent stuttering and sometimes even short hangs while playing. Using Vulkan instead of the OpenGL renderer is not an option anymore as it gives me a nearly black gamemenu and white screens while ingame. The situation might be better for those using an Nvidia GPU with the proprietary Drivers. But at least on my system with an AMD GPU (Radeon RX 5700) and the lates stable MESA Drivers Last Epoch is not an enjoyable experience at the moment. Hopefully the developers will take a closer look at the linuxversion before the game leaves early access.
Used to have big issues with this game when started it. FPS was around 5-6 and couldn't even move. I really don't know what happened (no game update, no system update by my side also) and the game suddenly has solid FPS (59-60) and no issues. Some minor flickering here and there, but not anything big. I am with an nVidia GPU (1060), so maybe it's just as you said that owners of nVidia may have better luck.

The Underlords are actually coming to Dota Underlords, plus a new Duos mode

I really like the way Valve is handling this game. After the Artifact disappointment (yeah, totally different game, but still counts as a disappointment from Valve), this looks like an interesting game. Unfortunately in most of the rounds, RNG feels like crap, but that's the genre of this game after all.

About the upcoming changes/updates still nothing to say. I will wait to get my hands dirty first and spend some hours into the game and then comment on them. A huge plus for me regarding this game is the mobile client and how it performs. It's really stable and with no issues for me until now. I really don't think that playing on a "tiny" screen like your phone is equivalent to "gamer person", but these types of games are a perfect match for mobile devices and when you are just sitting on your couch and don't have anything better to do.

Fingers crossed and let's wait and see..

System76 announce their own graphical Firmware Manager

I think that this is another good move from System76. The last years they are constantly improving their products and with the release of the Pop!_OS they are actively supporting the community with code too. Regarding this new graphical Firmware Manager, I think we need to give them some time and space and wait for the first available beta tests in order to more people get their hands dirty and see what we can get from this move.

Observer is a fantastic brain-hacking horror adventure, my thoughts

Absolutely great! Epic game for me. Just loved it. Regarding the FPS drops, also happened to me (about the first minutes of the game), but afterwards, everything was really stable (very rare drops ~5-10 FPS).

For cyberpunk fans, I think it's a must purchase!
Best single player game I have ever played.

Some thoughts on Vikings - Wolves of Midgard

I like the game's graphs and that's it too difficult in some phases (maybe too much in some occasions). My big problem is the co-op mode. Unfortunately I can't connect to a friend's game (Windows) and he can't connect to me either. Latest patch noted some co-op/multiplayer fixes, but still no luck for me.

Kingdoms and Castles released with day-1 Linux support, some thoughts
24 Jul 2017 at 3:06 pm UTC

Bought it during the weekend and spent about 3 hours with it. Looks like a really promising game if the developers will support it further. I really really really like its style and that its based on older times instead of a modern times/city. Yes there is no depth right now, but we can get there (hope to..). :fingerscrossed:

Albion Online hasn’t exactly been the smoothest of launches so far, but I'm hopeful for the future of it

Quoting: razing32Hmm , was looking forward to a Linux mmo like this , but I will probably wait for things to stabilize and see if they get any better.
As is , after I saw Sin try to play , it looked like a bit of a mess.
Totally agree, but I am afraid that I will purchase the game during the weekend :P
