Hmmm. So I saw the GOG post about the game and wrote about how I would not support this dev after the scam they pulled and my comment was deleted. Now I'm wondering if I should take my business elsewhere and just stick to HB and itch.io.
Maybe I was in the wrong but they could have responded with a line about the latest development that liamdave wrote about.

I will pick this up when it's on GOG, itch.io or Humble Bundle DRM-FREE.

Quoting: slaapliedjeIt's behavior like this, that makes ya think twice about informing new people about your video gaming hobby.Quoting: tuubiThat just means he's a celebrity right?Quoting: crt0mega@jaycee was getting death threats against him and his family while he was working for VP on TW2, IIRC.Yes, and jaycee is justifiably angry at those childish wankers. But taking it out on the rest of us and pulling the victim card every second time a porter's/dev's work or decisions are criticized is not okay.
What I don't get is... at what point has civilization degraded so much that support for a video game can cause people to make death threats that you wonder that it's just time to do a 'reset'?
People who make death threats like this should seek professional help. I could see making death threats to child molesters and people who talk in movie theaters. But video game porters?

Quoting: TobiSGDHere in Germany, if you advertise a product (like, a game) with features (like, Linux support) it doesn't have, it is punishable by law. That is beautiful.

Quoting: RafiLinuxI wish I would have gotten that notification. It's been almost 2 decades since a Windows computers has touched my hands.Quoting: HamishI bought a game thinking it was a linux game from a stack I had in the cart. They refunded right away, though.Actually when I bought Project Highrise the other day (which the devs are very clear there is zero support despite releasing a linux build on steam) Humble Bundle clearly stated in my cart that it was not a linux game. I had never saw this before, but I like it. It also happened on a free title they had the other day (Oddworld, I believe).
I'm not sure when they started this notification but I did like it. I do not use windows at all so I am not sure whether or not they pick up the Operating System from my browser id string or if they associate my account with linux after selecting that many times when purchasing/downloading bundles. (I assume they use the browser id string because that woud work for first time buyers as well.)

Quoting: HamishEvery time I even look at Humble Store I get discouraged by how awful their tagging system is. The way it often forgets selections or does nonsense such as showing games which have DRM Free Windows builds only even though I have Linux selected as a platform as well. Browsing for anything on there is a pain. This happen to me for the first time. I bought a game thinking it was a linux game from a stack I had in the cart. They refunded right away, though.
There's so many Linux games on sale right now, it's a good time if you're skint

I'm still sticking with HB, though but GOG and itch.io get first swing.

Quoting: CyrilYeah. The last free game giveaway was also like that, Psychonauts. I had to give away the key and then once the person activated it, I was able to get the DRM-FREE version of the game on HB.Quoting: DamonLinuxPLOutlast + DLC for free on HumbleStore for next two days (steam key + drm free)Yeah it could be great. But instead you can't have this one until you have a Steam account linked to your Humble account. Need a Steam account + Humble account to have a DRM-Free game, ironic isn't it ? That's a shame.
It's quite bad... My future purchases will be GOG/Itch.io only i think. :><:

I picked up 'Slain: Back from Hell' on GOG. Played some of it. Looks like a great Saturday morning game to rock as my kids get up and ready for the day.
