Quoting: slaapliedjeActually AD integration has been available for Fedora and RHEL for a while through Fleet Commander - https://fleet-commander.org/ [External Link]Quoting: Bladeforce"An enterprise partnership with Microsoft.."Sadly, this is what gets it onto corporate desktops instead of something like Redhat Workstation.... better integration with AD is basically the thing that has held it back for a long long time. Got to be able to let CIT log in and do things to your laptop remotely, right???
Enough reason to not use it
This release for me is actually more about getting a new release of Pop_OS! As that's the variant I prefer. Though the issue I have with this release is they decided to go against their original plans to always have the latest Gnome (again) and are not installing 40. Oh well.

Not sure I have a deep 'moral' conviction about their exclusive games strategy, but I don't really have any reason to be positive and supportive of a company who in practice now are paying devs to not support Linux with their games.
Especially when the company they are trying to take on is funneling the part of their profits into trying to make Linux a more competitive gaming platform. So I am basically left with a choice between a company who somewhat inadvertently is actively harming Linux gaming (Epic) vs one that is actively trying to enable it (Valve).

The Linux version of 'Outer Wilds' is still 'to be determined' despite being a platform on the Fig campaign

I do wonder if complaining to Fig.co at some point would be the best approach to take. Not that it is likely to fix the concrete issue of Outer Wilds, but it might make Fig push their projects harder to not over promise and under deliver, as each time this happens it undermines the trustworthiness of their platform and crowdfunding offerings.
Edit: I actually decided to do just that, this is the comment I just submitted through their feedback form:
Hi,
On linuxgaming.com they just ran an article talking about how the Outer Wilds developers where now saying that Linux and Mac support was not just 'under consideration' despite promising such platform support in their Fig proposal. I realize there is little you can probably do about existing funded games, but I would strongly ask you to push any upcoming project you sign for fig.co to think seriously about their platform support promises (or any other promise for that matter). Because I backed Outer Wilds due to their promised Linux support and each time such a promise is broken I am less likely to want to risk supporting another game on fig.co. I never back crowdfunding campaigns that doesn't include Linux support and thus if I can't trust that fig projects are serious about their promises I have to stop funding fig games.
Sincerely

Beep boop the Feral Interactive port radar has a UFO sighting for a new Linux port

Doom seems to be the most likely candidate here IMHO, although Feral hasn't done any Bethesda stuff before. Would be cool if that was it though as it would open the door for more Linux ports of Bethesda titles going forward. I am wondering though why we are not hearing any news from them about Total War: Warhammer 2.
Another guess I see other people have is Diablo, but it already got a Mac version, and Feral has no prior interaction with Blizzard. I would assume Aspyr would be a more likely candidate for such a port considering their Activision relationship.

I think if people look at crowdfunding as a version of pre-ordering then supporting a crowdfunded game does not makes sense. However if you look at it as 'Do I want to see this project that would otherwise not go forward happen bad enough to put some money into it and maybe it will succeed' then supporting crowdfunding campaigns make sense. I have personally supported probably 25 projects and due to doing some serious evaluation of each project I only had 4 of them go bad so far. I also never put in more than 15-20 dollars so that if the project fails I can write off the loss without regrets. But just before the crowdfunding tend to offer you a copy of the game as a reward don't start categorising this as 'buying' in your head, because if you do then of course it doesn't make sense.

Hope they share information about their troubles. There are many of us who are trying to work on improving Linux as a platform for games, so feedback from developers about the challenges help a lot. Of course some things are mostly out of our hands like issues with game engines and such, but many are not. For instance we are introducing quite a few fixes to Fedora Workstation 25 based on trying to make it more accommodating for games.

A completely different take is that they are playing on words here. And its a game from Massive Entertainment. So it could be Tom Clancys The Divison, Fra Cry 3 or Assasins Creed: Revelations.
