I bought this but it's not been a smooth experience for me getting it to run.

First I had to make sure my installed version of libudev.so was linked to libudev.so.0 near /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/

Now I can only run the x86 executable from the games' install folder, not the x86_64 or from the normal pressing "play" within steam. It means the Options menu doesn't work, nor do the leaderboards and so on.

The latest from the steam forums reads thus:  :(

Hi guys,

Linux port is currently on hold. We have so much work around the current versions that we have to prioritize our efforts. We will think about it after the hottest period is over ;)

Take care,
RUINERS

Very rare I consider a refund for developers supporting Linux, but there's been no word from the Devs that I can see about this on the steam forum for some time..

Such a shame, but I'll wait my 2 weeks or whatever it is and hope for the best I suppose.

Saw Jim Sterling's video on it and just bought it straight away without looking for any potential issues that others might be having.

Oh well. I hope they sort it out.

My feeling is most people got it "free" through the humble monthly like I did, but I could be wrong.

There seems to be a fair amount of reasonably priced DLC for the game though, so hopefully if/when they do make the port, still some revenue comes from those.

What one game would blow your mind if it came to Linux & SteamOS?

DOOOOOM because... Doooom!
I played all the originals back in the day and would like to revisit one of my favourite franchises which I spent countless hours with in life.
