The Witcher 3 didn't come to Linux likely as a result of the user-backlash from The Witcher 2

I never saw this conversation, but would of course have agreed that going personal after employees would be crossing the line by miles! With that said, dropping Linux and ignoring the majority just because we was the happy customers that never saw any need to go out there and look for a reddit thread to complain in is a bit unprofessional and will likely just worsen the situation. I can sympathize with developers that sometimes feels it's like the world is on their shoulders and that "nobody" is appreciating their hard effort, but the truth is that the majority that never speak a word is the happy customers and this is something that applies to literally everything in this world - not only in the gaming industry. I hope they won't let the trolls speak for our community and instead learn to ignore them.

Razer looking to improve Linux support on their 'Blade' series of laptops

I think we need to reflect a little on what the CEO is telling us here. It's not like they suddenly thought that it would be cool to support Linux, it's because of YOU. You made them consider Linux! And this tells us something very important. We often sit on some tiny Internet island commenting that "this and that" have bad/no support for Linux, but it does nothing good if our genuine wishes never reach the actual decision makers. Enough Linux users "bothered" Razer up to a point where Linux simply cannot be ignored, and it's largely up to us if or who of our favorite vendor will be the next.

Civ VI Steam forum mods banning users for expressing Linux support
21 Dec 2016 at 7:48 pm UTC Likes: 3

Well that's a moderator that certainly should be fired ASAP. A moderator is there for one reason and one reason alone, to keep things cool. Removing valuable content and even banning people for showing support for a future game port shows that this guy cannot be trusted at all. I wonder if this is something that have happened or even affected other game ports as well.

Oh and thanks for the link to that Steam group, i was totally not aware of that. Every Linux gamer should join that Steam group!

There's too much to cover in one single place it's insane.
Let's hope that luxurious issue becomes twice as impossible next year! :D

Ubuntu now has a community-built PPA for stable versions of Mesa

Quoting: lelouchWho cares!?
Dude, seriously? Of course people care, that's the only logical reason to why Feral Interactive even called for a PPA be set up.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance will not aim for day-1 Linux support
8 Dec 2016 at 8:44 pm UTC

Now, that's really disappointing. No day 1 Linux support will definitely mean no day 1 buy and (until anything eventually happens) no recommendations of the game to my friends that are on Windows either.
