Didn;t read the book or see the series.
I guess my expectations of this game will be neutral.

Even if Linux wasn't my platform of choice I would still be worried.
Will wait and see.

To me, it just seems too risky and the developers lack of proper confirmation in public about Linux is concerning. To me the lack of any proof of concept or a tech demo seems much more of an issue.

Think there was also a free SNES-like version of Lucius on steam , where you play that demon child. Not sure if that was a remake or an extra though.
Feel kinda sorry you can't enjoy games because of the laptop. :(

AMD quadcore A8-6410 ("up to 2.4 GHZ" but according to cpufreq-util actually never above 2,00)
Mullins Radeon "R5 M240" weirdly named 1gb VRAM graphics card
8gb RAM
You would think that I could play PoE, and I did play it some, but man is it laggy and shitty and slow, I can't stand it. I bought BG:EE and experienced the INSTANT transitions and unlaggy movement etc. and I just could not go back to 20 second interruptions and swooping around with the choppy camera in PoE. I really loved the game and tried alot to play, but I will just wait ca. 5 years until I buy a new computer I guess :<. The main attraction for me was the writing, so I would be happy if I could play it in infinity engine, same with Tyranny and Torment Numenera also. I wish someone does a "demake" of those into IE honestly, or something. They only need the words.
I have seen older games re-made in the engines of newer games as a tribute (Utlima made in Neverwinter 1 for example) but have not heard of things going backwards.
From this competition [External Link]. Otherwise, no, I wish there were more!

Curios how many resources a server might need.

The idea looks interesting , and it would be cool to see how that physics engine can be exploited.

Still , most of the maps seem to be built around their MOBA concept with a lot of corridors.
A more open map would bring back the feel of DoW 1

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoOk.. I managed to make PlayonLinux work..Doesn't Metro 2033 Redux have a linux build ?
I installed Wine-staging 2.10 x86 and amd64, then I created a 64bit virtual drive and setting wine as windows7....
and then I installed the GOG's edition of Metro 2033 Redux.
The game was installed sucessfully and, after installing dx3d11_42 and dx3d11_43, the game loaded with a choppy sound and a slow motion video... but it works..
Looks like Dying Light is set to get more free DLC

Quoting: GuppyOK , that's more clear I guess.Quoting: razing32I'm not saying blame Germans today for what happened then, I'm saying censoring media because they contain bits of history your not proud of is a dangerous and slippery slope. Instead own up to it, tech that it's bad and *why* it's bad.Quoting: GuppySorry but have to disagree.Quoting: razing322) Germany ? The heck is happening ? I thought only games with Nazi imagery got banned (for obvious reasons)The obvious reason being a pathetic attempt at hiding their shameful history from public view. Remember nazi in game are always the villans so there is no chance of the game glorifying it :P
I met germans and I think they apologize too much.
What the Nazis did was a horrible atrocity , but I don;t think Germany today is Germany then.
How many horrible things were done in Europe , Africa , Asia since then yet Germany is held up as the example for human wrong doing. Doesn't seem fair in my mind.
And I agree.

For no reason. I wish they used infinity engine.Really? You must have a pretty old CPU. I played Pillars of Eternity (same engine) on a 1.9Ghz Intel i5 laptop from 4 years ago, with a weak HD4000 iGPU and was able to play it fine. The laptop ran pretty hot, but was otherwise Ok.
Their engine is MUCH more visually attractive than the old infinity engine (I've been playing the enhanced editions recently)...it's really very pretty. There's no need to look back!
