I've been excited about this one. I perhaps have a slightly unhealthy obsession with the early Fallout games, and anything that even slightly resembles such immediately has my attention.

Quoting: edoWhat I dont like about unity games is that you can tell its using unity by just looking at itGosh, so many people say that and yet there are quite a number of games in my library I had no clue were using Unity until I looked into it.

Seems like the controversy is just another one of those James Gunn situations. I don't care enough to really look into it though, all this political stuff is growing rather exhausting.
What have you been playing and what are your thoughts?

Well, I've been messing with emulation again, never used Retroarch before and I gotta admit that it's rather nifty. Setting up Retroarch is quite difficult, at least when you're inexperienced with the software, but at least you only really need to do it once. It would be nice if it could retrieve boxart for my roms w/o the file having the exact name the software expects, but that's a fairly minor problem ultimately.
I've been playing a lot of Super Mario 64. The game is more frustrating than I remember it being, perhaps my brain is turning into mush as I age.

Oh yeah, I remember this game, for a while it was probably one of the best city builder on Android for a while. Then they added some micro-transaction stuff and I sorta lost interest, especially when Pocket City came out with a great free version.
I am a pretty big cheapskate I gotta admit, gaming on a phone is a pretty mediocre experience and its hard to justify spending any money on such a thing when I hardly enjoy it.

What are you playing this weekend and what do you think about it? It's mostly Dota Underlords for me

Gosh, I just spent four days building a desk out of scrap wood without any power tools. I feel I should celebrate by using this new desk and enjoying some games and whatnot, but all I wanna do is gently caress my new desk.

And yet another reminder that I haven't changed my setup much in a long while.
I think my GPU is dying, or the PSU, or both. Or neither? seems like all my issues started occurring after running the Blender 2.8 beta for a few hours, so either bad timing or the program somehow corrupted something. Though I doubt any sort of corruption would cause my PC to randomly shut off.

Still waiting on Nightdive to port System Shock Enhanced Edition to Linux. I figured they'd do it soon after the Kex update.
Elsewhere is an in-development game of crafting, exploration and survival that could be interesting

Well, Minecraft has sorta stagnated in terms of innovation, at least in my opinion. If they can bring some fresh ideas to the table while retaining some of the basic elements than I'm all for it.
