It's worth noting that in the tweet thread that prompted the interview question, here https://twitter.com/Obsidian/status/637755811469520896 [External Link] he does say they may still support Linux but have to evaluate.

Quoting: TakFor what it's worth, one of the The Maker's Eden [External Link] team used a private build of this for the recent Ludum Dare [External Link]Yus! And I have given them feedback on issues/findings. In general it works well, except a few crashes and UI goofiness in places. They are aware of some of these, but I trust my fellow Linuxers will continue to submit useful constructive feedback/bug reports.

Quoting: neffoMy specs are similar. I suspect the 970 is likely one of the cards they were testing on.Quoting: melkemindwith the exception of a dip or two to 50 I can vouch that's what I get with a 970 and a intel i5 3570Quoting: rustybroomhandleShadow of Mordor runs very well for me, for example - the benchmark never dips below 60fps.I'd definitely like to see proof of that, along with your specs, posted on the forum.
Regarding Feral's status as a good/bad porter, as you said, it's all relative. Some people are satisfied with performance lower than they'd get on Windows. Others aren't. And obviously, Nvidia users will be happier with them than AMD. It's all about your perspective and your expectations.
shadow of mordor is a really great port, and everyone should buy it as it's a great game to boot.

Quoting: GuestXCOM was ok, but Shadow of Mordor wasn't exactly the greatest.I feel like every claim about how good or bad a port or porter is should be suffixed with "for me" or "on my system", because people have different experiences.

Tangiers Is A Horror Themed Stealth Game Coming To Linux, I'm Going To Make Samsai Stream It

This is not a horror game. Surreal, perhaps a bit unsettling in its themes, but "horror" is most certainly not what they are going for here. It's meant to be full of symbolism, metaphor abound. They might say "horror-tinged" but if you follow some of their earlier discussions on it, around the time they were crowdfunding it, you'll see what I mean. I guess some might still be terrified. :)

Just chiming in to say that I have three games now that use this wrapper, and all of them look/run great on my system. There are obviously people that do have issues with it, but there's Steam refunds for that now.

Quoting: skryFor those that do not follow TotalBiscuit (and are more interested about the game rather than SJW-nonsense) he did a pretty good first impressions video about Victor Vran, which pretty much covers everything you might want to know before purchasing itWhat you refer to as "SJW-nonsense" is actually a worthwhile discussion to have and you'd have to completely lack empathy to not see that.
