Quoting: DrMcCoyNo matter whether KotOR II will really come to GNU/Linux, and no matter the methods (native, wine wrapper, eON, ...), that doesn't change anything about xoreos' mission statement.Oh sorry, that's not what I meant, it was more a "well, out of all these games, we have this "natively" so you can focus on every other game rather then this one.

KOTOR II native would just mean once less game for xoreos to worry about (but will no doubt support anyway because that's how open source rolls).
If anything, fingers crossed KOTOR 1 is coming. When this is out I'll buy a couple of copies and donate to this site.

Quoting: ZeitgeistIf its going to be ported it would be a shame that the company behind it did not contribute to xoreos. However I know that it runs really well in wine. Could be a wrapper port clap your hands. That would be a bad idea, even if something they added was "clean room code", the fact they have the source code will make it look dodgy. It's like when the Windows source code a few years back got released, WINE developers stayed the hell away from it for the same reason.

Are we at the point where Kodi/XBMC can easily be integrated on SteamOS? I've not really played with it but would like to use it on a proper box like one of these.

Everytime Paradox bring out a new DLC, I'm hooked for another 2-3mths. Its annoying in a way because I really want to play something else but I keep getting brought back in (especially as I enjoy getting the achievements on it), every DLC == a new game as Norway.
Anywho, I will play GTA V and Fallout 4 at some point, just gotta finish one more year...

I've completed the campaign so I can update this a little further if anyone is interested. It was released too early but they explained why in a lengthy heart to heart and I understand their position somewhat. Now onto the game itself.
It certainly feels like DK2 in many ways, some rooms are completely new, others are new and enjoyable (the beast den adds another bit of flavour to the game that I quite like). Each trap uses a bit of mana to control so you can't just spam traps everywhere.
The levels are mostly good fun, couple of boring ones. Most are small maps and overall not too challenging. The bugs have been getting killed at a very good rate, I recall a patch every few hours Easter weekend which is nice, theres no "killer" bugs that I recall (now that the ones I ran into got patched).
All in all, I have no regrets getting it or playing it when I did and its only going to get better! The Linux version is pretty decent as well, there are massive slowdowns if you get enough units minds, mostly a problem when you end up converting half the enemy!
Cheers,
Chris

Apologies if this in a FAQ that I read ages ago but forgotten, but are you planning on getting some basic grounding in (like the areas) then going all out to make at least game work?
I admit, I can't wait to play kotor on this but curious if you'll have a "each game is about 60-75% playable" thing going on?
either way, keep up the great work. Much appreciated!

Yeah HRE was fun for my recent (read: only) game of Prussia. Won the 30yw to kick an OP Austria out of being the Emperor. I have the same problem as you now, after 300yrs of 4 colonists working around the clock I need some more action. I ended up owning half of Mexico for my CN and had New Inca over in the 13 colonies. By the time I quit I owned half of Iberia as well (made a post to reddit, was top post on /r/eu4 for a day - my personal achievement lol).
So much choice to play as next, Castille might be good again, take out France early days and rule the New World... hhmmm youve got me thinking.
