If developers set Steam Deck on a content depot package on Steam (even if Linux is ticked too) it results in it being only available for Steam Deck. I've let the developer know.
Good to pester Valve about it too?

That *is* some lovely pixel art, and I appreciated the large variety of pups in the trailer. Like "RD", I'm not really into "boaty" things either, but I've wish listed this one.

I still have a boxed copy of the first game on my shelf! It's in between Dungeon Keeper and Descent...

I tried playing the Steam / Gold Edition via WINE back before Proton was a thing, and didn't have much luck. But ProtonDB says it works nowadays, so I guess I can circle back on it (or wait for ScummVM to support the version on Steam - not really inclined to buy it again).

Oh, it was done by Jordan Mechner - the guy behind the first Prince of Persia game! I definitely need to try again... never been too fond of rotoscope animation, but I appreciate how he used it in PoP.

GOG Preservation Program expands with Devil May Cry HD Collection, Devil May Cry 4 and more classics

In case anyone is confused about what "preservation" means to GOG, have a look at Leisure Suit Larry on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/231910/Leisure_Suit_Larry_in_the_Land_of_the_Lounge_Lizards_Reloaded/ [External Link]

I'm not sure why it was de-listed on Steam, but note how there are MacOS and Linux versions. Now look at it on GOG:

Only the Windows version is available. Maybe because they made some nice improvements in it, that they didn't want to do on the other platforms? Well, no, they didn't actually do anything but testing:

What improvements we made to this game:
Validated stability.
Verified compatibility with Windows 10 and 11.

So "preservation" in this case means dropping already existing platform support. At least they package DOSBox for Linux for others, like Castles and Tex Murphy...

I guess the Linux filtering option is officially useless/defunct now. I still wish they would change to filter for native Linux support.

I was wondering why the additions were so sparse last week; apparently they delayed a bunch of them a bit?

Love how they gave the hapless hero a red shirt, Star Trek style! Don't love that there's no native Linux support advertised (so far, anyway).
