Quoting: alka.setzerthis only applies to the open source AMD stack, the closed source driver may not be subject to this limitation.

Sure, but who wants to use the AMD closed source drivers? ATI/AMD has never been good at graphics drivers (on any OS).

They do that specifically for the Deck, leaving desktop Linux without?

Quoting: pleasereadthemanualsupporting Linux natively long-term, even with open source engines, seems far more challenging than other platforms.

Which other platforms? Microsoft does a fair job of backwards compatibility with Windows, but certainly Apple does not. macOS developers have to keep up on maintenance, or their customers can't play their games after a few OS updates.

Quoting: PenglingSony/BMG then unironically went on to infringe on the copyrights of various GPL'ed projects and then used pirated software within the company, with as much as 47% of what they were using at the time believed to have been pirated.

Ever notice how those who fuss the loudest usually end up being guilty of what they are fussing about?

Quoting: Geppeto35Lost in Random is quite a nice game also.

I played through that one recently, and enjoyed it as well; I think the stupid EA launcher broke a couple times during my playthrough, but at least Valve got it working again quickly.

Reviews are overwhelmingly positive, so clearly the game has something going for it. But I just can't tell what based on the screenshots and video; it looks like a visual novel crossed with Final Fantasy style combat (hence the JRPG part, I guess).

Anyone who played it that can speak to the wide appeal?

Seven does look interesting - and even better, I already have it. :)

Dark Forces Remaster is verified a full month before release? I guess that means it's done, and the next month is just for marketing (and maybe final bug fixes)?

Only game I've played recently is Marvel's Midnight Suns. Probably won't be much else for a while, unless I get distracted!

Quoting: ElectricPrismConfession through projection.

What was I confessing or projecting? I never disagreed with your point, just said it applied more widely.

Quoting: ElectricPrismCould the sub-components come from the mainland, or could there be concerns of the mainland effecting Taiwan companies? Sure -- I woulds say the same is possible for Samsung (South Korea) and LG (South Korea) the same as any other tech from the region, even Japan does manufacturing in mainland China for some things.

The same is possible for most "American" companies, like Apple.
