We have a copy of 'Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor' to give away to one lucky Linux gamer

I'd like to build a linux-controlled drone :).

The game itself reminds me some good old 8 bit classics a bit. Might be addictive.

We have a bunch of Wild Terra Online keys to give away again

Thanks. It seems interesting. I need to test it out

Ballistic Overkill has an opt-in beta for the new Leaderboards feature, seems to fix the fullscreen issue

I don't know why, but your code doesn't work for me. The recent beta code with the vulkan support doesn't do anything as well. Any help?

Did you miss Shadow Warrior for free last month? It's free again on Steam this time

What the hell are you waiting for?
Waiting for the option to pay for it I imagine. We do want SW2 as well, don't we. :D
Well I just bought that two years ago, but - sadly - still no linux version :). The second part is worse though IMO.

The hack and slash RPG 'Vikings - Wolves of Midgard' is now available on Linux

Damn, I've just bought that and it really lacks of the executable :(

Ballistic Overkill has an opt-in beta with performance fixes (update: now out of beta)

I've subscribed the beta channel, but I still cannot switch to Vulkan. Ballistic Overkill itself didn't even updated to a newer version.

ESSENCE, a first-person non-violent exploration adventure arrives on Linux, Vulkan support possible in future

Damn, it looks like linux is starting to suck again in terms of gaming... I just bought it, and all I get is a black screen with a pointer (and game music in background). I know it says early access, but anyways... It's so frustrating. Worms W.M.D., Robocraft, Dirt Rally and a bit earlier, even the Rocket League stopped working properly... and now, the ESSENCE :(

Worms W.M.D updated with a free game mode 'Forts'
8 May 2017 at 11:34 pm UTC

Quoting: nadrolinuxIIRC workaround for a rendering issues with mesa was included in mesa 17.0. At now this game works without problems with radeonsi drivers and mesa 17.1 (I tested it with the last update 5 minutes ago^^), however you must remove libstdc++.so.6 from WormsWMD/lib path, without that a game will not launch which is a little sad (this file is restored with an each game update).
Wow, that solved my problems with running the game. I was unable to launch it, thanks. The game itself is buggy as hell anyways :(.

Some notes and benchmarks about a performance regression in Mad Max's OpenGL rendering
31 Mar 2017 at 8:32 pm UTC

I am generally experiencing some significant frame skips in Mad Max just recently, but it was ok earlier. It's worth to mention however, but the game performance seems far better when using Vulkan. Oh by the way, do you know any applications that can show FPS'es and stuff while running a game? I know of GLXOSD but it doesn't show any output when running the Vulkan beta. And also, it seems to stuck on 60fpses in any game.
