This is the worst news I've heard in a long time.

You can send me the extra Hollow Knight code if you want :D

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive updated with improved Linux performance and a new FBI model

Quoting: buenaventuraI am always on the ropes about buying CS:GO, my friends all played 1.6 and then I did some Source back in the and I liked it, but meeeh, dunno. I have overwatch and insurgency, feels like CS:GO is just too bland.

The FBI was already there LOL, such nonsense from devnull.
I say go for it.

I've been playing CS since 1.6, through Source, and now CS GO. It is true that by now it got a little 'bland' - but that's only because you've already spent so much time playing the previous iterations. The gameplay itself, is one of a kind, and superb as always.

I only have 46 hours in CS GO even though I've had it for a while - but still, I enjoy playing a match or two from time to time.

The excellent SC Controller project adds Bluetooth support

Has anyone figured out a way to make the Steam controller work for Wine gaming? I tried it with the SC Controller driver, but the button mappings are messed up (at least in Tekken 7).

Rise of the Tomb Raider for Linux to release tomorrow, April 19th

Damn, the Nvidia beta Linux drivers (396) arent available on Solus, so I guess the game won't be playable on it. I guess I'll have to wait till the drivers get out of beta to get the game.

Quoting: liamdaweIf memory serves, you need VLC installed for the cutscenes to work.

VLC is installed on my system but perhaps I could be missing a codec.
I have VLC installed as well. Please give me a heads up if you ever figure out how to get it working.

EDIT:
The devs posted a fix to the Steam forums, we're missing a dependency - installing it fixes the issue I posted about.

sudo eopkg install gsm

Damn, I'm so happy - awesome devs, they got to the issue, even though it affected an unsupported distro, it's really good on them for doing that.

Screw it, If I like the game enough, maybe I'll even buy a second copy on GOG later down the road - the devs deserve it.

The game's not DRM free, and can't be launched without Steam.

I can't disable steam in the script, here's the contents of it:
#!/bin/sh
UE4_TRUE_SCRIPT_NAME=$(echo \"$0\" | xargs readlink -f)
UE4_PROJECT_ROOT=$(dirname "$UE4_TRUE_SCRIPT_NAME")
chmod +x "$UE4_PROJECT_ROOT/Ruiner/Binaries/Linux/Ruiner-Linux-Shipping"
"$UE4_PROJECT_ROOT/Ruiner/Binaries/Linux/Ruiner-Linux-Shipping" Ruiner $@

Quoting: DoctorJunglistI'm using Nvidia, here's the terminal output when I run Ruiner.sh directly (I have to do it with having Steam closed, because otherwise the output gets terminated once the game is launched).

It still has a lot of Seam related output there somehow including something about Steam overlay (try disabling that). Try to get the output from the actual game.
Yes, there's Steam output mixed there, because Ruiner.sh starts Steam, and after that - the game.

As I said, if I launch it with Steam already running, the terminal output gets terminated once the game launches.
