I own the original Neverwinter Nights for linux but i will buy this one as well.
Nice to that this release on GOG has linux support since sometimes they can't get a hold on the one with the rights for the linux releases.

Fighting game 'Fantasy Strike' is now out on Linux, needs a quick fix

looks fun but looking at the characters and what they can do it looks like quite complicated fighting.
i need to try it out to know if it's for me since some fighting games has to advanced combos so i end up having aching and sore thumbs and a broken controller when it "cheats".

2D RPG 'By Any Means Necessary' is now officially available on Linux

Quoting: GuestCan't understand why such a style of gameplay still needs such high specs.
Was very happy to install until I realised that the minimum required specs are way beyond my cheap €350 laptop.
For linux it's only Ubuntu 14.04 and 200MB free space.
I wouldn't think to much about windows showing the need for an Processor: Intel Core i7, i don't think it's correct since 2D games shouldn't be very cpu intensive.

Bought the game on GOG since the price seemed as a bargain.
If it only entertains me for a little while the it's worth it.

EDIT: i have now played thru the first part of the game that's available.
The game runs great and i had no problems and everything works which is good since it's an Early Access game.
In it's current form the game is a bit short but that's the thing that is supposed to be added in future updates.
It took me a little more then 4 hours to play what's available now and i think that if i played it thru now once i know everything i could do it in an hour.
I liked it very much and i look forward to the rest of the game.
I feel that even in it's current form it was worth what i paid for it.

The Witcher 3 didn't come to Linux likely as a result of the user-backlash from The Witcher 2
22 Aug 2017 at 12:41 am UTC

Going back there was a hole other situation back then.
Graphics driver wasn't up to par and full of bugs.
eON wasn't working as good as we wanted it to.
We had a lot of games ported to only support Nvidia which created some anger from AMD users.
Many ports wasn't especially good.
It was a moment 22 situation where porters needed better drivers with more extensions and the driver developers only wanted to add support for existing games and a top of that adding buggy drivers that didn't behave as expected.
I think much of the problems was that Linux wasn't ready yet.

Fast forward to today and it's a hole different situation with much better drivers, the ports is often better and even eON is better many things comes down to drivers but also porters have learned a lot and perfected their tools.
The Witcher 2 runs fantastic, i usually run it on my AMD APU in an laptop from 2013 with radeon open source driver.
I have no complaints on wither 2.
