The Talos Principle going Fusion, Croteam dropping OpenGL & Serious Sam 4 still coming

Quoting: GustyGhostRoad to Gehenna was okay but felt like it was just standing in the shadow of the Talos Principle. But then again what should I expect from just DLC addon?
Assuming you are only speaking about the story (and not gameplay), it's the other way around for me. While I was very impressed with the main narrative (philosophy done well is extremely rare in games), the DLC was on a whole other level.

While more Serious Sam is always a good thing, what I'm really waiting for is Talos Principle 2. It was my personal GOTY 2014.

Tried it, bounced off pretty hard. I can understand games not holding your hand, but this game goes way too far with it. The puzzles take place in terminals where you type in commands. There is a help command which only gives you a list of other commands; it doesn't tell you what they are, what they do or why you might want to use them. As such, the only real way to progress is to try every single command/file combination possible and see what happens. Boring and frustrating.

Oh, one more thing. If you do decide to give it a shot, you'll need a pen and paper as the inventory is inaccessible while you are using a terminal and you'll be expected to enter passwords, numbers etc. from memory :/

So, I played... Pyre

I liked Bastion. I loved Transistor. But Pyre managed to exceed both, by a pretty decent margin for me. I loved the story, the characters, the music, the immaculate detail of the lore. This was a day 1 buy for me and I couldn't be happier.

Even on the technical side, everything worked perfectly; no crashes at all, excellent multi monitor support (I have a 3 monitor setup and I like playing on the middle one) and most importantly, no problems with mouse capture (sooo many games get this wrong).
