Perfect timing for this article, I am trying to get Farcry 3 running on wine and just struggle because of uplay for like 2 hours now. I think I will just crack it, will be easier and save some nerves.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Confirmed For Linux & SteamOS
7 Jun 2014 at 3:36 pm UTC

Will "The Witcher 3" get a day 1 Linux version? I am super excited about it, finished both games and want to know how the story ends ;)

Quoting: DeformalStrange thing. People hope to get on Linux better port, than on Mac.
Nobody don`t want to know about Mac ports. But Linux get port from Metro last ligth of same quality as Mac port. Witcher 2 get equal ports for Mac and Linux.
So if game get bad port on Mac, don`t expect to get good port on Linux because games get Mac os port first.

Things change, Opengl on Mac is like traveling into the past, so with Linux ports first we have a better chance to be at the same level with Windows. Also the eON wrapper is still under development for Linux, if you want to help improve it for future eON ports, then help the devs. I think they would appreciate it.

And also yes we expect better ports, if Mac people don't care then it is their problem.

I'd be more than happy to get it from Valve but some rumors say they wont make one, so I looked for alternatives just in case.

Edit:

Just found this: http://www.roadtovr.com/new-bits-new-valve-vr-headset-makes-appearance-boston-vr-bender/ [External Link]

Crytek's CRYENGINE Powered Homefront The Revolution FPS Coming To Linux

So?
In almost every war game you have to kill the bad Germans. To me that is annoying. So it is refreshing to shot at someone else for a change ^^
Also it is just a fictional game. The gameplay will be important in the first place.
