Oh yes, an awesome game. Too bad I'm streaming too many things atm., otherwise I'd start a LP.

Looks like STAR WARS: Rebel Assault I + II will get their DOSBox versions for Linux on Steam

Whether it's Dosbox on Linux or Dosbox in Windows, where's the difference? If the DOS-Version is available you can play it anywhere DOSbox is available. I wish GOG would just label DOS as platform and provide it at most with a sane config instead of installers and whatnot.

Crypt of the NecroDancer: AMPLIFIED grooves its way out of Early Access

AFAIR for me the issues started when I added custom music. That required some fiddling, replacing libraries, that sort of stuff. that was with the base game a while back.
I just installed the basegame and AMPLIFIED last night and streamed it for an hour without problems. Haven't tried custom music, mods, etc.

This game definitely looks interesting. It appears to do away with a lot of micromanagement, the control scheme remind me of glob2.

Game store itch seems to have a problem with people selling pirated games

I was only barely aware that games are sold on itch.io...
So how plausible do those fake accounts look?
Do they provide updates? Support?

The Witcher 3 didn't come to Linux likely as a result of the user-backlash from The Witcher 2

Others have said it, but... Whether the investment of a Linux port pays off depends on a lot of factors. If a company tries it and gets burned, for whatever reason, then they're likely to not try it again. Windows is a different story. If most customers are using Windows (remember there are other platforms too) then you'll just have to deal with it. Not much you can do.

As for "Divinity: Original Sin": AFAIK they won't release any more patches for it on any platform and Larian no longer has any Linux developer. I guess they could hire an external company to port part 2.

As for GOG Galaxy: They were looking for Linux developers recently and still do: https://www.gog.com/work [External Link]
That indicates to me that they didn't have the people to bring Galaxy to Linux. I guess they do now. I guess it's on the way.

As for Withcer 2 on Linux: I did not follow the whole controversy . I only tried the Linux version recently and it seemed to work fine. It was apparently made for controllers, which is a bit of a shame. Man do I suck at this game with mouse and keyboard...
There's some of that controller-first thing in The Witcher 3 as well (Gwent for example), but not as bad.
