Yeah, I played the server back when it was up, sadly, someone kept killing the npcs at the colony, so you couldn't do any quests... But sure, I'd be up for it again.

Been possible to play as a browser-game for quite some time. It sucks. Have you tried Settlers Online then? It's the same shit with another name...

Quoting: liamdaweAs I'm too lazy to list them myself, this forum post [External Link] has it:Aha, didn't realize. ;D

Dead Island Patch Released For Linux, Finally Playable (Updated)

EDIT: The update screwed something up graphics-wise though. Reflections in pools look weird, and glitchy.

Quoting: liamdaweWhat was broken with it? Worked just fine for me.Quoting: JayBeeeHah, was just playing it, and shut down. When I came back I saw this and saw that a patch was downloaded. :P But it was playable before to? o.OI don't really call a game that depends on a loot system, with a broken loot system, playable :P

Edit:
But it just about doubled my FPS from 80~ish to 150-160.

Bought. Looks great.
Got any idea if the launcher will be available for Linux as well? Would be nice having it update on it's own. Otherwise I'll just have to wait for the Steam-launch for that to happen. :P

Unvanquished, The Open Source FPS & Strategy Game Has A New Release

Quoting: PicoboomThe Unvanquished site seems frustratingly devoid of information that's useful to this potential player. Their descriptions of an "alien team" and a "human team" make it sound like a multiplayer game, but that's never specifically stated. Their "About" page (https://www.unvanquished.net/?page_id=336 [External Link] mentions it's a "strategy shooter," and the home page linked above mentions it has "RTS elements," but, again, what form these elements take, or how they function within the game is never specifically stated and left entirely up to the reader's imagination.Yeah, it pretty much is Natural Selection, as FOSS. Not that much fun, IMHO.
From its description, Unvanquished seems not too different from Natural Selection 2, which is available for Linux from Steam, except that the former is FOSS and the latter costs money. Free or not, I simply can't tell enough about Unvanquished to know whether I'm even interested in it, let alone whether it's worth the effort of downloading and installing.
