The Frostbite engine apparently has partial Linux support but that doesn’t mean we’ll get ports anytime soon

EA is burnt soil. I'm not a fanatic but an old fart when it comes to games. And I remember. EA managed to get on my personal blacklist years before I decided to walk the No Tux, No Bucks road. They may reach out as much as they like. Mayhap they'll manage to get some bucks from my children in a few years. Not on my watch though.

You guys realize that the base game is 50% off on Steam and GoG right now?
I have the same issues with the price. Got it now on GoG for ~18€ now (had some "fair money" in that purchase). That's fine for me for this type of game.

Quoting: GuestIt's good you added Pay Pall. I don't want to be stuck with another monthly bill so I don't do Patreon, but I don't mind sending a payment or buying merchandise from time to time in order to support projects I enjoy. You may consider Patreon again. It's perfectly possible to place "one time orders". That's up to the user. A subscription is optional (granted, only if this wasn't restricted lately)

The DLC price shocked me somewhat. That's like a new game so I really wonder whether it will be worth it's price.
What have you been playing on Linux lately and what do you think?

Transport Fever: That finally became what it should have been in Train Fever. I kinda enjoy building transport networks. It's relaxing.
Mad Max: Almost to the end but then a bad crash killed my savegame and I didn't rotate it for a long time so I sort of lost the fun with the progress. Another day mayhap.
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2: Plays fine with Steam Link and is kids friendly so I can play it in my living room while the kids are around.

I second that. It's a lot of tiny things that were annoying af. The sad thing is: This is what Train Fever could have been in the first place.
I'm missing block signals since this patch though.
Afaik performance is sheduled for the next patch. It's not great later ingame, true, but always playable for me. i7 seems to be up for the job.
Tipp for great maps in the Workshop btw: Sweden and Schwarzwald Rhein area.
