Details on how Slay the Spire sold on Linux plus some thoughts

I would've expected higher than 0.82%. To me it seems a lot of Linux gamers are attracted to smaller indie games like Slay the Spire.

NVIDIA have put out a new Linux beta driver with support for 'G-SYNC Compatible monitors'
31 January 2019 at 10:37 am UTC

QuoteAccording to Linux YouTuber star Xpander69, who I spoke to and has tested it out, the new G-SYNC Compatible feature will only work with one monitor enabled and the game will have to be in fullscreen. Shame, as that would make it pretty useless for me personally with two monitors I use heavily.

It kinda sounds like this is only the case when using synchronization features from a FreeSync monitor on an NVIDIA card, but this also happens when using regular G-Sync. Just wanted to clear that up.

Already played A Story About My Uncle, it's a really fun but short game. Has very nice platforming and some beautiful visuals, recommended!

NVIDIA to support VESA Adaptive Sync with 'G-SYNC Compatible' branding
7 January 2019 at 10:05 am UTC

That's really nice, I hope that sometime AMD will support G-Sync Displays aswell. I'm very happy with my Dell S2417DG, but it would suck to lose functionality if I want to switch to an AMD card.

28/150 new releases? The best selling new releases I assume? Steam must really be hurt by all those new competitors

elmapul"With that in mind they noted 27 bugs squashed. These include issues found with Final Fantasy XI, Undertale
and others. "
we have undertale for linux, why people are playing the windows version? sigh

Wine seeks for perfect compability with all Windows applications, so even Linux native games are tested. Also keep in mind that Wine does not only exist for Linux.

Humble are doing an 'Indie Mega Week' that's worth a look for some cheap Linux games

Dax TailorHi and thanks for the info.

Just bought Duskers (50% off) and subscribed to the monthly bundle for one year, currently a special offer for $99,-. Even the games in this bundle are not so interesting, there 4 more coming on Jan. 4. and it gives me access to over 60 DRM free games, some are not so bad I think (AI-Wars and other Arcan games for example.)

For some weird reason there was something about "GamingOnLinux" when I checked out my games, hopefully that did not break this web side

If you haven't redeemed the keys yet, you can always pause for a month
P.S. The GamingOnLinux thing is a referral code that Liam added in, so they get a small cut when someone buys on Humble via their website.

bidinouI get a segfault when trying Undertale (DRM free version from HiB ; daily MESA ppa ; RX 560). Any idea ? The workaround I see on forum doesn't work...
Are you on an optimus laptop? Try using your other GPU, the intel one worked for me. Nevermind.

Rocket League updated with progression tweaks and a second Rocket Pass

Dribbleondo> Personally, I see it as a nice way for dedicated players to give back to a game they've put hundreds of hours into to keep development going.

Personally, I see it as a micro-transaction that has no place being in a paid game, but eh, whatever floats your boat. Or in this case, flies your rocket car.

They need to keep the servers up somehow, pay employees etc. I completely understand the hate for loot boxes because of the addiction factor, but this is not randomized. They need to make money somehow. Can't keep updating the game for free.

I wonder how this is going to affect competitive smurfs? Hope they know how to deal with that, but pretty happy about the baytle royale mode!
