Quoting: ShmerlYeah, there's always a trade-off. I wouldn't use it myself. So far, I don't know that I've truly seen a WINE regression, just a couple of instances where something else broke and it was easy to assume WINE was at fault... Much like people do Linux in general.Quoting: burningserenityThat said, it would be nice to make wrappers instead of prefixes, like WINE on Mac does, so we can be sure a version upgrade won't break configuration.Developers can use Winelib already that way. It has a downside, you won't benefit from any performance improvements in newer Wine versions.

What exactly is so hard about using WINE? It seems to me that, not too long ago I had to disable stuff in services.msc to for halfway decent performance without Windows getting in the way of itself.

Quoting: m0nt3The main story and many of the side quests are really top notch. Unfortunately many other side quests are pretty uninspired, and it's sometimes hard to tell right off which ones are worth doing. I really hope they improve the combat for the second game. I love that POE has those "resolve" dialog options that let you roleplay the fact that you kill hundreds of people, but that actual combat is tedious IMO, and Tyranny's was a step in the wrong direction for me.Quoting: burningserenityThe world needs more pirate games. I still need to finish the first game though; they really meant the "Eternity" in Pillars of Eternity.I finished the main story line, but not all sub quest and still havent made it through the white march.

Looks like GOG Galaxy won't come to Linux any time soon, as it's "not a priority"

IMO, Galaxy kind of goes against GOG's anti-drm philosophy. They say it's an optional client providing "freedom of choice," but if even a single game depends on it, that's a Hobson's choice.
Besides, it's so easy to sync saves to a cloud service, take screenshots, etc. The only really interesting feature from Galaxy was update rollback.
Also, Lutris is Linux exclusive; which other game client do we really need?
