I absolutely recommend playing Loom in expert mode, especially if you like music :) In expert mode distaff has no hints, and you need to play it more like a real instrument. That's about the only difference there is I think.
For the reference, this release is missing FM Towns version which has no voice acting but has close up portraits and longer dialogs which explain the story in more details. It's also missing the audio drama which is a prologue to the story. You can find it here: http://s-island.mixnmojo.com/loom.php [External Link]
About different versions of Loom see http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/loom/loom.htm [External Link]

Quoting: BillNyeTheBlackGuyIf this means that future Larian titles will have Linux support from the group up, then I'll gladly wait.My guess it that even without NDA they are nervous about giving bad PR to their partners. But I wish they've explained what those middleware problems were.

I didn't dualboot. From the time I've switched to Linux I've used it exclusively.

I tried contacting GOG about Witcher 3 on Linux (i.e. whether I can preorder it on GOG for the Linux version). They said to contact CDPR directly regarding this. CDPR so far didn't answer this question. I'll see how this goes, but I recommend not to preorder anything of the sort (even though GOG gives 20% discount) until CDPR will confirm it. Their silence is suspicious.

Mantle allows multiple command queues per GPU (see here: http://techreport.com/review/25683/delving-deeper-into-amd-mantle-api/2 [External Link] ).
Current generation of GPUs allow executing multiple commands in parallel (Nvidia has "warps", AMD has "wavefronts" etc.). And to fully utilize that you need several command queues running in different threads. So that's what I'm asking about. Will Vulkan allow it?

Quoting: abelthorneSame as it was refuted. I.e. it wasn't confirmed.Quoting: ShmerlI'm reserved about Witcher 3 and wouldn't take it as a confirmation just yet. Let CDPR comment on it. So I don't recommend buying it until it's officially confirmed. As far as I remember, it has already been confirmed quite some time ago. It might even be in an article on this very same website (would have to check).
