Interesting interview, thanks!

Q: One last question, are you concerned that Microsoft might take legal action against the project? I'm especially concerned about patents and recent API rulings.

Axel Davy
We follow Wine developers advice on the topic.
What advice is that exactly?

GameMaker was used to create Maldita Castilla [External Link] - quite a masterpiece of a game (it's free and has a Linux version too).

I'm playing it now for the first time (never played the original). This game is great!

Unfortunately Double Fine still can't sort out ownership issues with the soundtrack so they can't release it yet. However you can extract the audio from the game using scummrev:

It worked through Wine perfectly.

Looks exciting, but I'm cautious in cases when Linux is declared as a stretch goal. If it won't be reached you'll lose the money and won't get the Linux version.

Quoting: HadBabitsSpeaking of actually playing, does anyone know a good and concise walk-through of the first Witcher's plot? Or if it runs well on WINE? Witcher 2 looks great, but I'm pretty lost in this world.
It runs very well in Wine. Don't ruin it by watching plot videos. Play the game itself!

Great! I don't have Steam access, so I'd wait for the GOG release.
