I think for an anti-feature, it's good enough to end DLSS. Because it works everywhere and will also get better over time. The other side of it - it's general purpose. While AI/ML is more limited to specific use cases. So it is better in some cases and worse in others. Everything is a trade off.

Quoting: lemoncitronEven if you aren't playing games, I find the high refresh such a quality of life improvement on just any day to day desktop usage. I cant go back to 60hz now, mouse movement just feels like molasses .Yeah. With adaptive sync, it's fine if games don't match maximum refresh rate. But desktop user experience is way better with 144 Hz than with 60 Hz.

AMD usage continues to grow. Though with crazy CPU / GPU shortages, upgrades are probably pretty rare now.

Is the GOG version latest for Baldur's Gate games? It lists 2.6.5 in the installer, but changelog doesn't have any recent info.

Quoting: slaapliedjeSeems to be an odd reason to limit it to Steam. I'd think that'd be fairly easy to do outside of it... Then again, I'm not a dev!I don't know details either, but with the level of success of the game, I think they can do it without tying it to Steam.

Quoting: slaapliedjeIs it only released on Steam then? I want to support GOG more, but they should support me more... :PA while ago when developer pulled the game from itch.io he said he needs to rely on Steam services for NAT traversal.

Developers keep deleting the suggestion to release the game on GOG without even commenting (from here [External Link] ). Such attitude doesn't look good to me so I don't expect them to do anything positive about it since they don't care. I'm skipping this one.
New OBS Plugin Offers Game Capture Solution on Wayland (for Vulkan renderers)

So that's why I was asking why they are using EGL instead of let's say WSI.

Quoting: KithopSo I think that's why EGL comes into play, here.I don't think Wayland is tied to EGL? Wayland is a protocol, it's not really tied to a specific implementation. It can work with WSI.
The Vulkan WSI (Window System Interface) is a set of API calls serve a similar purpose as EGL does for OpenGL ES or GLX for OpenGL. Vulkan WSI includes support for Wayland from day one: VK_USE_PLATFORM_WAYLAND_KHR. Vulkan clients can run on unmodified Wayland servers, including Weston, GENIVI LayerManager, Mutter / GNOME Shell, Enlightenment, and more. The WSI allows applications to discover the different GPUs on the system, and display the results of GPU rendering to a window system.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayland_(display_server_protocol) [External Link]
So that's why I was asking why they are using EGL instead of let's say WSI.

Quoting: BrisseYou can follow OBS Pipewire progress here :happy:I didn't get that part:
The new capture is only loaded when running on EGL, since it depends on EGL to call gs_texture_create_from_dmabuf().Isn't EGL OpenGL specific? I thought Vulkan is using WSI for example.
