Quoting: GuestThey had it planned for the original in person event, so regardless of solving problems, it would still be interesting what it is. At least we can laugh at it ;)Quoting: ShmerlNothing on their previous driver open sourcing statement? Sounds like things aren't getting better on the Linux front. It's literally a hardware event.
OSSing the drivers wouldn't fix anything btw, it'd only make them uncompetitive for a few years, just as it happened with amd. Plus who wants to stay on bleeding-edge just to get a driver update?
Wine 5.7 is out with more WineD3D Vulkan work, a start on a USB device driver

Do we have a time frame for focal packages? I can't use the old Eoan Packages to fulfill Dependancies.
What have you been playing recently and what do you think about it?

Xcom 2: Covert Infiltration :
Man i hate and love it at the same time, nothing is more difficult and rewarding at the same time than this game.
I lost countless missions and campaigns to bad planning and greed. Still i come back every time. Phoenix Point doesn't manage to copy that feeling.
World of Warcraft, it is time for a linux native solution blizzard :)
Shadow Tactics, in the spirit if desperados and robin hood, this game looks great and is fun. I hope the sequel desperados 3 by the same studio will be on Linux too

Blizzard already disables a few nvidia specific things when detecting wine and rumor has it they had a linux client internatlly. So maybe Feral would be able to polish this.
MMORPGs are difficult though, they are a moving target and need constant maintenance.

Quoting: iwantlinuxgames1. World of Warcraft ClassicIn some combinations of gpu and driver wine has trouble with a good framerate so a native version would be great.

Maybe the engine now becomes more popular and attracts more developers. Otherwise it wont get to a state of running the sequels.
It is amazing that people already remaster the assets used.
I really liked pharaoh and its add-on.
