if you download JALOPY, just add the .exe file as non-steam game and force proton. it works

my question: does valve see that i am playing this game?
Yes if you launch the game through Steam, and it will be reported as "played on Linux" to the dev' (counting as a Linux sale). :)
Are you sure? Then I could add an xterm and say it is any game.
i was thinking of a .exe hash, that connects to the game

But what do you think: Could Valve also be planning to port games to Stadia in the future or something like that?
valve games? do you wanna play CSGO and DOTA on stadia?

id Software going all-in with Vulkan, some interesting details about that and Linux for Stadia

Outer Wilds becomes another Epic Store exclusive for a limited time
13 May 2019 at 7:00 pm UTC

cant they all just make it exclusive for epic supported OS? mac and windows? so they can still release the linux version in other stores

BattlEye now say they're working with Valve to support Steam Play

if PUBG and R6 SIEGE work then, that means all of the top 10 games on steam run on linux

Easy Anti-Cheat is actually still supported for Linux, a statement from Epic Games
7 May 2019 at 10:51 am UTC

i think it wouldnt be a good idea to stop linux support before stadia is released
of course stadia doesnt need anti cheat, but like Ashes of the Singularity some developers will release a linux port on steam, gog and itch if they already have it for stadia
