If this becomes a real feature and is done well, it could be a real game changer if they make another big GNU/Linux push at the same time.

I hope that this doesn't inspire other game devs to say "Screw Linux!" and randomly drop support. That would be very bad!

I'm glad Valve are continuing to support Steam OS and GNU/Linux! Most companies probably would of gave up by now...

I really hope this takes off and makes Wine easier. Setting up Wine is a pain in the butt even with Lutris sometimes, and being able to just install and play would be awesome!

I hope Doom Eternal uses Vulkan so it can (hopefully) run in Wine perfectly! I can't go without playing the new Doom ;(
