Awesome!

I already loved the game as it was. Can't wait to explore all the new stuff and revisit the rest!

Psebay, the atmospheric moto trials adventure is now available on Linux, may need a quick curl fix

Just a small thought about the provided fix. Would it not be easier by just replacing username with $USERNAME or $USER ? That way it just 'works' when copied and pasted.

President Of Blizzard Responds To The Linux Petition, Petition Owner Creates Childish Response
12 Mar 2015 at 3:33 pm UTC

I for one even felt no desire whatsoever to state a response after that condescending reply from no one other than the president...
Give the guy some media training!

For a president to use an assumption instead of an actual fact/statistic is really sad. Even more so since he states the nice 2% fact right before that. And that even without giving the source where he got the actual percentage from.

Then again, like most people in this thread, I gave up on believing they would ever support Linux. As said over and over, they have all the resources available. They just choose not to.
Which I would think would have been a far more fair response to the Linux community. Just tell us you are not interested in Linux as a whole without telling us we are a minority and will most likely have more than 1 computer with different OS's.

But as also stated by loads we have loads of titles available and other great ones coming. So nothing lost here.
Maybe when hell freezes over it can change.. but that would take a mighty strong Blizzard ;)

Just my 2 cents...

Edge Of Eternity J-RPG Tribute Now On Kickstarter, Has A Linux Demo
15 Feb 2015 at 10:43 pm UTC

The demo works for me. Has the good ol' mouse-stuck-when-fullscreen Unity bug as well ;)

So far seems quite nice and reminds me a lot of Xenoblade Chronicles.

Will think about backing this one.

4089: Ghost Within, Sci-Fi Action RPG, Available On Steam
16 Jan 2015 at 2:42 pm UTC

BTW,

It's $ 7,99 at https://indiegamestand.com/store/1373/4089-ghost-within/ [External Link]. And the one direct from the developer is more expensive since you get a physical version shipped.

Ow, and if you are quick it's even cheaper on Steam for a few more hours :)

All in all, phr00t did it again :)

Torchlight & Torchlight II Look Set For Linux & Steam
16 Jul 2014 at 10:03 am UTC

Oh and to mention the big difference between I and II; the latter supports multiplayer which for me was the main thing to be very happy about. Also the Steam Workshop support can add some very wonderful mods, some which can even add a class.

Would be just wonderful to also play TLII on Linux!

A Linux Port Of Terraria Will Soon Be Looked At, Hooray
16 Jul 2014 at 9:39 am UTC

I love Terraria to bits and have played it loads with wine and also native with the Linaria build that unfortunately does not support 1.2 AFAIK. Still I have better experience with the native client since most just works better.

As said indeed, Terraria is more about the digging and Starbound has all kind of complexes with guards on the top. There are some places below but nothing like the dungeons or random chest finds in Terraria.

Magicite is totally different since it's a roguelike and you start every game fresh. Even though if you play well a game can last for over an hour... but can easily also just take a few minutes. Procedural stuff ftw!

So in all, 3 great games that just play different but kinda look alike.

Now just to hope Edge of Space will also do a Linux client since they are getting Terraria content in it!
